  1. I vote rainbo on this one because of ribbon pattern and translucency in the base.
  2. Excellent examples. Thanks Roger.
  3. Roger, any chance that the base on the blue/red one (top row, 2nd from the right) is translucent?
  4. Absolutely the real deal. They usually get anywhere from $150 to $300 just depending on how bad the collector's want it that day.
  5. Not a remelt, the ribbons were just a lot thinner than you usually see on a golden rebel. The surface was immaculant besides the small missing glass. And like mibs indicated.....the missing glass may not have been from impact...possibly as-made but even under magnification i could not make the distinction.
  6. Pretty sure it's pelt, but i will get some more views posted tomorrow for a closer look.
  7. You are correct. The one on the right is not Vacor it's a pelt for sure, just wanted to show that there is such a pelt with the colors of a Vacor Hurricane.
  8. Here's a side by side Z. The pelt hurricane rainbo name is just to poke fun at the Vacor name.
  9. Great looking corkscrews, especially the way you grouped them. Remind me of pelts.
  10. Yes, all in post #11 have pontils but no mica, the single color plain ones have two pontils and the fancier ones have single. Yes Winnie, post #13 is odd, reminds me of a ground pontil oxblood slag. These types all seem to be coming from Bulgaria, hope someone can tell us where they may have been manufactured.......they are definitely old.
  11. I'll take a crack at it.....a lot of named pelts in this group. Green Fizz Tan based Xmas Tree Blue Bee Blue Deere Salamander Red zebra w/ aventurine Dragon variant w/ white Copperhead Green Rebel (or galaxy) Ruby Bee w/ red aventurine Moody Blues MCS w/ a ying yang pattern 3 Silver Surfer types or variants Bronze Zebra NLR rebel with a bit of clear and a few others...
  12. These marbles resemble the one's that Craig (Spara) posted not too long ago, also from Bulgaria. I also got a lot from Bulgaria of similar old marbles with pontils, also strange, just don't know the origin of them. They are different for sure.
  13. Lol. sometimes those MKs get swirly along the seams and look pelty. Cool marble though.
  14. I'll keep an eye out for you as well Clyde. Would be great to see one of them in hand.
