    Just because someone's been collecting 25 years doesnt mean they know their marbles. The marble pictured above is a Peltier. The closest Vacor ever came to the Superman is their older run Serpent.

    I get annoyed with eBay listings like that.....I'm pretty sure that seller knew the marbles were newer. In order to learn the difference.....go buy some vacors and then go buy some true christensens.....after seeing the examples in hand, you'll always know the difference.

    Opaque clowns are actually not opaque.....they are a very deep transparent red. I discovered this when I recently purchased an extremely powerful light. It will appear opaque with a lesser light, although they are not.

    Yes, I agree the forum is the best place to learn about marbles, you get to share information with seasoned collectors who specialize in all different types.

    There is also a "green" bruiser that at first glance appears to be a pelt "green hornet" with a black base and wild green pattern, but when back lit the base is actually a dark brownish green.

    Holy smokes. The 3rd from the bottom (purple & teal) is a killer.

    I see another one of those clear brown based swirls with the baby blue....I think they are awesome champion marbles and remind me of Christensen blue lace marbles because of their color.

    I see a few really nices one in there, particularly the clear brown based ones with baby blue and the dark purple bases with blue swirls. You think we could get a close up of those killer mibs??

    I sure do enjoy seeing your pelts chuck....as far as a name for them, I really like the pelt "Pink Floyd" name.....but I'm sure some of our fellow members will think of something more catching.
