  1. I would have bought that lol. Rich could have fixed it for me
  2. In the wild, here in local Georgia :0 ) One of our pickers found these at a yard sale...he paid $5.00 I traded him better than that, but was surprised to see them here
  3. I got a kick out of the irony in the feedback reply Feedback From/price Date/time item was not as discribed, not happy at all Buyer: sassyabby ( 5280) Oct-19-13 19:41 Reply by fishonwithme (Oct-19-13 19:56): you cant even spell. must mean you cant even read correctly too! buyers remorse? Lot of 71 Swirls Vintage, Estate marbles, German??or Latticino, different sizes US $178.00
  4. OK Here is how EBAY and Paypal work You can select no returns BUT...an ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED kills that right off the bat. Yes...A thief CAN send you an empty box and if he has not done it before, it can be used to screw you. YOUR history as well as the buyers AND the value of the item will be major factors. I had a guy rip me on a 10.00 item, ebay simply refunded it to me out of their pocket. They could not prove 1 way or another and 10.00 to them was a small fee to keep the peace and not risk upsetting either side. Return shipping is USUALLY paid by the buyer. If there is gross misrepresentation you can demand the seller pay it as well. If you say you are selling the letter A and you sell the letter B (Simplified) then ebay CAN make you pay the return shipping. They usually will not and you will end up with a feedback hit. if you screw up, you should pay return as well as refunding initial shipping. Your mistake should not put the buyer out of pocket ANYTHING and ebay recognizes that . However, most listings offer returns buy buyer pays shipping back. Mine are set that way as I know buyers remorse or crocodile eyes can cause a seller distress. So, if you buy from me, change your mind, simple message me and mail it back. people who do not offer a hassle free are the people who are trying to make a few bucks and figure that a deal is a deal and those people end up screwed by disgruntle customers. People tend to want to be treated like they are always right, but rarely wish to treat others that way....I despise that double standard in sales
  5. William...there were just plain ol corks. But colors I did not have in 3/4 yet which was why I was excited to win them. It was small money but a big disappointment as I cannot attend marble shows and I am forced to reply on ebay. I have no luck buying anywhere else or trading and that is ok, but the whole of the hobby revolves around marbles I have to buy on the bay
  6. Yes, it is my fault. I expected A and got B...that is the entire matter. I questioned him on the size issue and he went on the defensive and then started acting foolish. I have had people contact me over this and several people have vouched for him, but also saying they see where there was an issue and how there must have been a mistake and I have told the seller I am leaving no feedback. He issued a refund for the purchase amount. I told him if he would pay actual shipping back I would go ahead and send the marbles, that it was his choice. I am not out to hustle anyone...i only want to buy and pay for what I am bidding on and nothing more and most certainly nothing less. Part of his final message....I say final as he said he was done. It is your option that I was wrong. Maybe I was. Just a difference of how things or done. Doesn't make either of us right or wrong. My mind is clear and I can sleep at night. I don't believe the description was improper and surely wasn't done deceive anyone. Clearly you don't see it that way. Yes, I was a little tacky probably should not have that. Sometimes I just can help myself when I feel I am being attack for no reason.
  7. Oh come on...this is not an ID...this is a size. He guessed...from a distance is all I can come up with. He sells all of that Jabo and sammys stuff and a marble is either 1 size or another. The sheer FACT he sells so much of that means he should be able to get a hel of a lot closer at a glance than most people who do use callipers. No, he tossed a number up without looking or he made a mistake....he did not make a mistake in his eyes, so I am going with the initial view as the other view would be intentional deception. Either or, I am the mistaken one here and I am now the bad guy for wanting a full refund and shipping covered both ways as far as he is concerned. I am the King of the world, His Words, because I do not feel I am responsible for ANY of the monies involved with this transaction and wanted a COMPLETE refund for sending them back. He disagreed and I told him I would keep the marbles and leave a neutral. he then made another smart ass remark and then a final insult so a neutral is out the window. I guess my point is that NO ONE would have assumed they were getting 5/8 marbles and he thinks that I am wrong in that assertion I also told him to come read, that way if he felt I was lying he could correct me. I save all of my messages and I do not make up things nor do I leave things out to color a view in my direction
  8. I told ya, it's not me, I always get lucky...... :
  9. Oh, side note Am I correct ? These are not Ravenswood, but Champs ? http://www.ebay.com/itm/RAVENSWOOD-MARBLES-6-MINT-5-8-OBJ-/310769300849?pt=Marbles&hash=item485b4b3571
  10. I don't see how saying -3/4 missing by 1/8 or less is a problem. I have been listing marbles that way for years and never had a problem before. coyotebob2 He still thinks I am the problem here. I told him I would just keep the marbles and take the loss.
  11. You are looking at pictures. The marbles,3, look like what you collect The item is listed at -3/4 in size What size are you getting ? I got (2) 5/8 and (1) 41/64 I message the guy about the confusion and I get "The header says -3/4 so just below 3/4 is 5/8 you know 5/8,6/8 and so on" The worse part is the guy has thousands of Feedback from solely selling marbles. I expected 47/64 or maybe 23/32.....what you would think you would have been receiving had you bought these ? He acts like I am being difficult and up to something as he has told me he will refund once he gets the EXACT same marbles back......I told you, I get the nutters like no other.
  12. I had an idea that Rich's 2 posts had 2 motives so I avoided posting to see the trap unfold lol you 2 are comedy to watch go back and forth
  13. Jeroen said it was states purchased, but the buyer had not gotten the marble yet.
  14. Sorry that happened to ya Rich. I did get a giggle out of the title
  15. Or Akros... ?? Haha Wish I could go Paul...have fun for both of us !
  16. I was warned away early on, from talking to people about their marbles on ebay. I would see ebay listings mocked and made fun of with all kinds of childish remarks over on KR's marble website. I posted why does no one try to help these people and the consensus was it was not worth the time as some would get outright hostile, argue and possibly cause you backlash down the road or frustration over a random person not taking the knowledge of.....another random person I still find the time to help if I am able. I messaged this seller and referenced this thread. This thread where no one has said anything untowards, mean or crass. He felt bad that his remarks in his listing were seen in the light by one member and wanted to explain His response was to my message that he need not let the bullies upset him. This hobby has far more cynical people than one would think and people will make threats that if A is B then I will XX. I told him to not get stressed and understand there are many good people who collect for the purity of the hobby and those same people would be bidding. I reached out to him because I saw what you saw. Remarks that indicated he was being harassed or bullied and I felt someone needed to help him feel a little less like he was under attack. I apologize if the seller is worried that i posted his message. I think people sometimes forget the guy on the other end is human as well. I think the responses, remarks and input in this thread were in good taste and structured to discuses a really nice looking marble as well as pose questions where people whom have had great practice with polished marbles were able to give input of reassurance, where as I can only image the remarks made on the other website based on how tacky and childish some seemed to get. Dear scattered, I have to say,....... THANK YOU !!!You really helped put my mind at ease. I Too thought some people were being ridiculous!! it is a rare marble so I understood the interest. anyway, the gentleman that retracted, he sent up red flags from the get go so I am pretty happy I am done with him and his games. thanks again for taking the time to send me a message. I really appreciate it. I went on Marble Connection ,after reading some of the replies, I have to say, I was not trying to sound unhappy or rude in my replies on eBay, I just heard that some of the buyers were snakes and that they would try to pull shady moves... I wanted THEM to be aware, I would not put up with any bull. Didnt mean to offend the honest true collector. HAVE A GREAT NIGHT
  17. Yah Not being a Christensen fan I will end up ebaying it to buy more Akros Fun your addition with your addiction
  18. So.....I was going through my slag box, moving them to a jar and in the low light this slag looked TERRIBLY dark..... Lo and Behold...lol I gotta get better glasses
  19. Haha Hi Marlene Yah, I have quite a few to go through but I will check this week Steph. I have several 3 gallon jars of Cat eyes now....too my displeasure as I am not a cat eye fan (Except Brogards). I even sent Marlene a nice bag of the brogard's black cat eyes But yah, I will see what I can find Any other odd-ball cat eyes ? I have some odd one;s to say the least. I have a pelt banana that got stretched so you have a half moon cat eye. I have some that are ...I cannot guess the age or maker, but 1" with so many ripple INSIDE the glass you can hardly see the eye. It looks exactly like mid 50's coke glass. I will get some pics for ya later
  20. Steph.... If I have any of these I will let you know and send them your way I sold a lot of St.mary's last week, all 5/8 and gave the lady another 20 on top of it because I have so many. While I am unsure if I have 1", I will check though for you
  21. I do not even know where to begin I lost a lot this week that the seller had listed as "Top SHelf" marbles I lost the 82 count lot buy 15.00 and the 225+ count lot by 20.00 It is so hard to buy lots that span multiple companies when you only want a few and have to factor in resell on the rest. I wanted that Lemonade and a few others but there were so many I didn;t want to deal iwth on the resell that I went lower than I would have to be honest, had then been listed individually I loose marbles every day it seems.
  22. I need me one of these Looks like it was fun,ty for the pics
