  1. Could it be as simple as blond moments ? Guys head in the clouds, starts to turn to the other way, oops, but just continues to do so, so as not to waste the glass and time invested ?
  2. I was thinking a Chocolate carnelian I DO NOT prescribe to the view that chocolate is "burnt" oxblood lol I know many do or they call it Chocolate oxblood....But ox is a color as is chocolate. They do not meet and sex it up
  3. I am with you as well Galen. I know if the seller keeps his mouth shut no action will happen. It takes THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of reports, month after month, to get ebay to block specific items. I reflect on Frangiapani and the fact that listing ANY item he has "forensically" authenticated by him will get pulled the minute is it reported Per specific people....lol... http://www.ebay.com/sch/btime2buysell/m.html?item=251477588674&pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a8d3b7ac2&vxp=mtr&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562 29 of his listings are a DIRECT violation of ebays rules as well as federal trademark laws I got no beef with him, but he lists counterfeits every week and he is still there. I can point out 20 people, doing the same and ebay knows as I know for a FACT several items have been reported over the years I understand oldmarbles view, feelings and passion behind this, I REALLY DO. I am the guy who gets a bone and will not let go....however, as someone who has tried to help others by doing the right thing and seeing people burned acros a myriad of hobbies, ebay doesn;t care until a lawyer gets in touch with them. Me and 7 other guys were involved in selling virtual merchandise in 2001. Sony got so pissed that they sued ebay. Ebay started the VERO program and banned all of our accounts. We were selling items we had worked for, but techniccly were sony's intellectual property. Sony had sent letter after letter, ebay ignored it. Sony sued, ebay stood up and did what was best for ebay Do not let our pessimistic attitude deter you. keep at it. I just message the seller and hope he does the right thing. if I feel he was mislead I help him with IDs and usually give him the marble website link to here and tell them to post images and ask questions......Out of 100-200, hell more, in the last 7 months...I have seen 2 register. Clyde called me the ebay police and I know he was joking, but it did hurt my feelings. I am not trying to tell someone how to list their item, only that they are incorrect and I would be glad to help them. I never tell them they are wrong and misleading people.....that's just trying to piss someone off...BUT...if it is how you feel a situation needs to be handled, who am I to stand in your way Carry on !
  4. Blame Marble Alan, not the game Check his MK page and you will see a Golden Boy. It has golden stripes rather than standard yellow. The blue is a softer, powder blue and it is also transparent i have a few that have blue ribbons on clear class. I am sure they are all play things found in digs though
  5. Clyde called me and explained it had tan in it as well. So, I am missing a color
  6. I have blue boys. They usually have white and blue
  7. Galen is dead on Ebay does not care. t's about money, not actual protection. It takes trademark infringement before ebay gets involved. I listed a licensed reproduction, a reissue of a 1948 Texaco marine oil porcelain sign. I stated it was a reproduction issued in 1982 Ebay did not care. They told me I needed written consent of some legal validation to the claim. Benningtons, Akros, all of those companies that are gone...nothing can be done per contacting ebay. Look at the sheer number of fantasy bags listed as "real". All fake, modern marbles and many reported but no company to sue ebay so ebay could care less
  8. Ok Ignore the Blended Boy scout. Saving time and took photos for a friend Have a Golden boy, A golden Boy with more yellow bands than the orange/gold and a Clear or Blue base Bumble Bee that may be in the Golden Boy "family" AND I think the one I left out is a peltier Blue Angle, posting an ID thread about it in a sec
  9. I collect all sizes of bumble bees I am looking for a value for golden boys before I do anything.
  10. No, they only show as a buyer for the last 90 days. They won an auction 2 weeks later the seller, whom is new to ebay, requested their contact info and called them ( I told him randomly calling people off of ebay would freak people out as that is how I got to know him. He called me to thank me for the purchase ) The guy said he had been busy and forgotten but was concerned that the marbles had not arrived. He told the guy he did not mail marbles until paid and ...the buyer got upset. Buyer wrong, 100% on so many levels. I explained that after 4 days he should send a reminder using ebays reminder assit option. On the 5th evening open a UPI case. 4 days later, if no payment, close the case, take the credit and the free relist and add them to the blocked list. I have just email him links to the blocked list as well as my list to cut and paste to his
  11. Looking for a rough idea of the value of an MK Golden Boy. Have a few I am going to sell to buy more bumble bees so I need a fair guesstimate on where to start Thank you
  12. Is this anyone here ? I was fairly sure it was none of the staff, but again, I could be mistaken. hence my question Any help would be thanked. Trying to work out an issue a new collector is having http://www.ebay.com/usr/themarbleconnection
  13. She is right Wet and any damage is a contradiction to me. I think the grading scales are crap to be honest. They cover such a large number of defects while allowing liberal grading that benefits the seller. I think there should be "written in stone" criteria for each grade...not a sliding "Here is what I see" scale. no slight to Bob and other's whom use it. I use M,NM+.NM,NM- and "Damaged" as a grade. I think the fact wear is taken into consideration o SOME extent and ignored in other is off. Scratches negate wet mint as I see the grade. Having wet mint cover 3 grade points make no sense. I think there should be a different grading title for 9.9/10 but I hink that aside from contemporary, the odds of finding those grades near non-existence since there would need to be zoom images taken to ensure there is not a single tick, scratch, rub etc I think the marble looks pretty nice(I think it is a NM+ by how i grade marbles with the missing spot in image 4) and I also think most of your listings look sharp....i just decided to derail and rant about the poor grading scales we all use
  14. I almost had a grand mal seizure when I opened this thread That is some seriously bright color
  15. I sold 3 lots. I assumed Danny got it. Not sure whom won the other 2 lots as it was on ebay. Sorry Danny, I assumed it was in the lot I sold you
  16. He does, doesn;t he haha I got no issue with him, to be honest. I have issue with the presented context of HIS are valuable and everyone else has peasant type marbles RARE I TELL YOU !!! IT'S RARE !!! Also, the CONTEXT of the OPs thread here was she tried to tell me ebay was Wholesale and implied they were not real prices, only wholesale pricing.
  17. Well, that piggy going to market tin is only worth about 10-12.00 so that isn;t it
  18. I do not think it will be invisible The light refract alters as it passes through glass, into glass and through glass again, due to the damage on the outer area. Those are miniature mountains all over the glass, each one with edges I would think, polished, it would still not be invisible, again, as light is traveling through multiple layers of glass and then liquid But, I will use a glass of sugar water next time i check instead of slobbering all over them
  19. Danny Lopaki has black. I sold them too him. Jeroen, maybe if you say SHARP ! SEXY! HOT! COOL and not RARE so often....... just my 2 cents as I am a fan of the concealed peen
