3. Not pushing my own horn here, selling the items ending tonight as well as the one's ending in 3 days for Sylvia. Sylvia's husband passed last year and I have been helping her sell off his marbles to help her with her finances. Check them out and see if there is anything you may like or anything someone you know may like. I do not make a dime off of these. Just trying to help someone who was having a terribly difficult time. http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?item=231205256032&ViewItem=&ssPageName=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&_ssn=scattered&_sop=1 THanks guys

7. Ah wish I could help galen, nothing I have matches those colors
8. I will check them out Chuck Maybe I can respend that 30 you spent with me
9. I have been using it for 3 years. It is so much better than Image shack or the other outfits as it ties to your google, gmail, etc, as your choice. You can REALLY do indeapth with it if you decide. Setting up groups, set privacy in your google+ then set the photos in that range as well It does just about anything And, with it being google, like microsoft, it is here as long as the internet is I also felt it would be SO MUCH easier for those not tech savy to simply click, upload, click, view than having to navigate through directories to find images to upload, then to try and keep it at hand, etc. Any image that has been uploaded, will display such in picasa when you view its folder and you can click it and view it online, takes you right to it It's just VERY user friendly. I use it as my "marble" collection I take photos of it all, save it,upload it and set it is a photo album online and on my destop in picasa
10. 1st image,5th row,last marble, isn't that a Kokomo ? Same one, I think, 3rd image, 1st row, 5th marble
11. Thanks Ronnie. Galen made a post in another thread that made sense and I figured a text walk through may still confuse so I went with visual aide
12. That is the issue with the internet to be honest. People go defensive so fast and think the finger is pointed at them I knew he was talking to me and I knew he was making a joke, sorry if he confused you. Ron, I hope your gigantic, Ebola Bennington came in safe and sound.
13. Go to THIS link and Download Picasa (click on the word THIS) Now, go to THIS link and set up a google + account (There's another THIS to click on ) I use Picasa because it is simple. personal and offers desktop features that no other image hosting service does. Picasa is VERY user friendly with tutorials and it is owned and ran by one of the largest companies on the internet. Therefore it will be around..well, for as near as the word "Forever" can encompass that I can think of. Now, the following images give a detailed walk through on how to take image, that you have already placed on your computor, upload it, host it and then how to copy it's URL(link) and place it on the forums for all to see. If there is ANY confusion, please, let me know. I tried to simplify this to take into consideration that many marble collectors may not be terribly tech-savy and I hope it does help some of you. Create a folder on your desktop once you have done the above. Place your images in that folder. If you need help on how to transfer images from a camera to a cell phone, to your desktop, post and I will lend a hand Name the folder ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- STEP #1 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- STEP #2 Click on PICASA to open it DO NOT WORRY! The 1st time you open PICASA, it searches your entire harddrive for images or anything with a video extension to index in the program for access and use by you. Meaning the 1st time you open it,depending on the number of images on your box, means it could be 1-3 minutes before it is ready for use. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- STEP #3 Type in your folder name to find it easily ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- STEP #4 On the left panel you will see your Folder name. 14. Ok Maybe this will help http://marbleconnection.com/topic/19274-a-very-detailed-walk-though-on-image-hosting-and-posting-10-easy-steps/
15. AH-HA! You do still live ! You never answer my messages....
16. Ok I have 2 that are mica and PEPPERED with little hit marks. Peppered to the point that I am wondering if it is intentional. Anyone aware of such a marble ? It is like someone was texturing it or some such.
17. What are all the different types of Mica marbles ? I have a few. The price is going up of late and I am really not going to blow a few hundred to get more, so I am going to list what I have. What qualifies as a blizzard ? Also, I saw a listing for a "Ghost core" which I thought was sort of funny. As I began underlighting my marbles...to my surprised, 1 was Cyan ,loads of mica, no big surprise but I was surprised to see outlines of a core on the inside and a solid color inside of that. Granted I cannot tell anything other than there is a clear core with a ribbon inside of it,but I thought...well, Ghost core, that may apply Also, the color ranges ? I know color shades tend to make the difference with some. I have Cyan,Aqua,Cobalt and something that is a cross between Aqua and Cyan. What different colors are there ? What are the rarer and more common colors / Just trying to educate myself. The big cobalt I may just keep since it is nearly perfect on the surface and has both pontils....and usually when I have mibs with pontils I get cracks, chips, all kinds of damage, but rarely mint
18. I think it is because you dislike being questioned or cornered or your opinion questioned with aggressiveness. I like you either or,so whatever the reason,it's easy enough to see, understand and decide if a person is or is not ok with it...i am ok with it Now Give me some damn Spidermans
19. I tell ya One thing I have noticed is people come here with firm views, minimal movement in them and get offended easy. Why worry about it ? Why not spell your situation out, in-relation to your view and his comment, without your panties getting twisted. People only upset you, annoy you, if you let it happen. If you see it as bad data, correct it, explain it and smile. It's far too easy to get offended on the internet than to shrug it off it seems, where marbles are concerned. Galen's not rude, just combative . People whom would call him rude would, I assume, people whom have been on the opposing end of a view or discussion. Or...do you jsut take it for face value without that person giving you some point of reference ? I mean, I am not, as the Australians say, guilty of Storm in a tea Cup, which far too many are. meaning litle things make big impacts on little people. So, with your knowledge and understanding, educate, enlighten and enjoy...do not let a disagreement, someone's view or a side-track to avoid a question, deter you from that. As the man said Endeavor to persevere ... Then again he also said I didn't surrender, they took my horse and made him surrender have a good one ~
20. Image 10, Dl'ed, using the glare from the light I see no "as made" marks on that photo. I would think I would need high def images of the pontils before spending that kind of money Then again, I do not understand the whole "ground" pontil thing so I am unsure if that would remove the pontil marks
21. I am not saying that it is what happened, I just tossed out an idea. However, everyone makes mistakes. If not there would be no errors in life after years of practice People's work tend to be effected by emotions I have seen dug handmades...LOT of messed up, errors. Flat onion skins and that what not. Again, I have no issue with your doubt, but your logic i do
22. Just use MS Paint and crop big is fine, trust me. I post 5meg photos, 2560x1920 It makes it easier for ID and assessing damage as well as seeing anomalies Just a personal fav :0 I also do not use the upload feature i simple use the image code tag after uploading my images to my google + account with Picasa So, when I post an image I do [ them type in IMG then another bracket. I cannot show you how to do it directly unless the website allows code feature which I will try now The way I direct paste is host my image then use img code so I do . sO TO POST coins I have, I go to the image online, right click on it, select COPY URL. Then do the following and below this code bar I will do it normally, to show you, without the code command
