Last Of The Popeye's....same Run And Uv's
Gnome Punter replied to William Marbles's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
The one that went for 61.00 was shilled. These sell for 30-40.00 online. Change your title or body in your listing. Ebay allows BB Guns to be sold as toys -
Do all Carnelians glow ? and if YES, then are not the one's in the listings Imperials then ?
-
Yah, I changed it to Akro yesterday after reviewing other images, thanks for th pics
-
Well crap He called me yesterday morning and told me he had nearly died from an infection and we were out shopping and told him I would call back tonight. So sad, he was such a nice, friendly and selfless guy. Wish we could have met
-
maybe he will chime in I am more and more convinced it is Akro than master. Now can an ade or carnelian NOT react to UV ?
-
It looks newer to me
-
See the 5th picture ? That looks like a carnelian It's confusing at times.
-
See,that is where I am It has characteristics of both It's a yellow hue which may be from the other glass. It is clear

I listed several marbles. I was near asleep so ignore the one marked as an Imperial that should be a carnelian. I went to edit it and a guy already bid on it . I also double listed a purple transitional instead of listing a 2nd red as well. We had felled 5 trees and had to chop them all up and by the time i went to list my hands were killing me and I was falling asleep at the key board ANYWAY The CHerryades I listed, could someone tell me if they ARE cherryades ? I was perplexed to say the least. I listed them as Carnelians then a friend said they felt they were ades, then neither of us could remember what ade glowed and what did not and if Carnelians were supposed to glow or they were not carnelians.... http://www.ebay.com/usr/scattered Also I wanted some input on the Akro with the big swatch of AV. I have not seen that much AV in an Akro patch before and I am assuming it was a dug marble based on that, any clarity would be appreciated ALSO Have a sunburst that just baffled me. I was sure it was a sunburst till that other thread now I still think it is,but not 100% sure. It has 2 colors, not many....and I still think it is a sunburst, but I listed it could be either and would rather someone confirm my view so I can remove the additional information so as not to confuse a newer collector ALSO The one listed as Vitro agate trilite oddity, i am still a bit off as I feel it is not a trilite but something else and finally has anyone have the issue where you go click on list a similar and it has the price of the previously listed marble and you go to change it and it changes back, over and over and over and over and over......It was driving me mad. I had to list, then go back and revise. It was the only way I could get the price to change...if so, did you find a fix ? it's like I am having to list everything twice just to get the price right. I began, at a point, of just letting crap list at 5.90 and not caring any more.

..that was a let down But thanks for the picture

I prefer google as I can layer EVERYTHING attached to google, by tethering, to anything that I have that is electronic. I can click on my phone and pull up thousands of my images and show them or text them on the spot. I can go to my gmail, start an email, click on my images through google+ and drop them directly into the mail. It really is all preference and use. My web server is for my email and...maybe a book, someday If I cannot find a publisher I will end up releasing it for free and hoping interest garners enough attention to get me paid

Heck Ronnie, I missed your question...by moths. SO sorry I do not use low res. I take every image at 3mp. I also use macro lenses to allow me to step back then zoom in rather than be right up on the marble. My camera is 10x and I stack a 10x on top of that. As I have an older Cybershot, there are VERY limited ways to extend your camera so I purchased 2 metal tubes that were threaded for a Kodak then hot glued them to my Sony plastic extension. It limits the light exposure to directly in front of me. I purchased a macro set....and was gouged, then a camera guru took me under his wing and showed me how to make a 200.00 extension with lenses for about 35.00 rather than paying 90.00 for the extension and another 200 for the lens kit I hope this helps.

http://www.ebay.com/sch/scattered/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from= Due to my HORRID luck in filling my Bumble Bee,Boy scout,Girl scout and other jars, I am culling my collection back to what I like the most. There is 1 marble in the auction I was hesitant to sell, but with my eyesight, i really cannot enjoy it so I figured what the hell. I have another 50-60 Milky and SIlver Ox I will be listing next week as well as more ades I know most of you guys are beyond these in your collecting but I do know some of you still collect the silver and milky and I hope these meet your likes. There are no moons in this lot or visible impacts. Those listed as NM will have what people call "Pocket wear" which ....I still have no idea how that applies to a grade My NM is Bob's 9.2-9.4 I also do not use the words wet mint. If I list a marble as mint it is a 9.6-9.9 I also have hassle free returns. Most of you know I do all of this for fun and the last thing I want is someone feeling they were intentionally misled so I do have a no questions return policy

Appalachian From Ebay -- Cold Rolls? Test Runs?
Gnome Punter replied to Gnome Punter's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Huh ? games ? You lost. Picasa is googles image hosting service and program You get nothing but the program. No add on's, no games, no tool bars http://picasa.google.com/ You need a gmail account I think. I cannot remember. I got picasa years back when it 1st came out as I disliked Imageshack Give it a try. -

Appalachian From Ebay -- Cold Rolls? Test Runs?
Gnome Punter replied to Gnome Punter's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Thanks, that was what I was asking. The same person selling has listed more and they keep looking worse with entire sides riddled with rolls and out of round and it left me wondering why anyone would buy any of it. THanks for clarifying what a test run was -
