  5. 1 - Peltier 2 - Christensen 3 - Akro 4 - Onionskin 5 - Agate Can I keep going?
  6. If it is about 5/8" I am thinking what you are describing. There are cutlines and ribbons. So, by method of elimination a good chance of Peltier Rainbo.
  7. It was good to see you Roy. I thought the walk ins were better than most shows I've been to. Shows like Orange County or Kansas City, where contemporary marble dealers are heavily present, walk ins are stronger but that does not help much to antique marble dealers like us. It was an excellent show. I hope Chad continues to organize this show. I'd be a regular. Best, Sami
  8. Both marbles definitely not Peltier. Derek's marble is a Master Sunburst. Bo's marble is harder to identify but doesn't look like Peltier at all to me.
  9. Congrats. Very nice marble. Don't forget to check for aventurine.
  10. I don't see neither. Looks more like a translucent sunburst from here. But I'm on the computer all day and my eyes kind of messed up. Sami
  11. That scenario is a bad one Andrea. I haven't had an experience like that yet but would appreciate it if you let us know the buyer so we can block him/her from bidding. Please keep us posted how eBay handles the situation. Best, Sami
  12. Hello all, It is that time of the year again. Our spring marble meet date is fast approaching. We are scheduled to meet On April 15th in Walnut Creek. The venue is 1785 Pomar Way, Walnut Creek, Ca 94598. I am making a slight change to our regular schedule and start at afternoon at 2:00PM. Hope to see you all then. All the best, Sami
  13. Hansel, the info you are talking about was not available to me when I was working on the book, or at least I wasn't aware of it. Also, although it could have been mentioned in the book about these names (if I knew the information), just one paper does not classify the whole production line. They could have called on advertisement one year "National Sunset", next year something else. What I have included in the book is accurate as far as type of marbles, the construction, timeline, and how they are referred/classified today by contemporary collectors. PS: Sellers Peltier would have a smile on his face if he knew about this book, not turn in his grave. That is a constructive criticism in your understanding? Wow.... Sami
  14. Hansel, i appreciate your input however do not appreciate your note that Sellers Peltier would be laughing and turning in his grave. During my work I communicated with you and asked you your opinion on my chapter classification, even asked you if you wanted to write anything and below is your response to me: "Thanks for the kind offer for me to write something for the book, but unfortunately I know nothing about Peltier that has not already been hashed and rehashed in existing books." Hansel, I can take criticism without any problems however please keep your arrogance to yourself. Sami
