  1. Good to hear you guys are coming. Looking forward to meet marboman. Dave I will have some nice peltiers to show and trade. Galen, bring your party boots. Everyone except Jeff are still on board. Sami
  2. We had an emergency and I had to change our venue to Walnut Creek. It is still the same time at 10AM. The venue is Masses sports bar & grill. The adress is 2721 North Main Street, walnut creek 94597. Sorry about the last minute change. Hope to see you all there. Best regards Sami
  3. Did you back lite it yet? It could be an offshoot submarine type.
  4. Is the base glass transparent or translucent? I don't think this marble is either wasp or tiger. I have seen similar with aventurine so you might want to check it for that.
  5. Ron, Your marble in the middle and also first pictures looks like Vacor from here. My guess is from the pattern of the ribbons. Sami
  6. Just so everyone knows, I had the opportunity to drive to his house last year and took pictures of his collection for the Peltier book me, Mike Johnson and Gino Biffany have been working. Clyde's name will be forever associated with the history of Peltier Glass marble history and collecting. Sami
  7. Hi guys, As most of you probably know by now, we lost Clyde on September 15th. He was a remarkable marble collector and a good friend, so we will take a moment to remember him at the meeting. On an exciting note, we have a lot of people interested coming to the meeting. Confirmed attendees are: Jeff Wichmann, Sami Arim, Galen Wilcox, Leo Contreras, Bill Bass, Dick Michell and wife, Mike O'Brian, Steve Gorin, Kevin Thorne, Mike Johnson, Mike Barton. This is going to be a good one. Bring good marbles to share, sell or trade. Please join if you are driving distance. West Coast Dave, Marboman? Let me know if you have any questions. See you then. Regards, Sami
  8. The board looks old, antique, but probably from late period; there is no bun feet and the wood doesn't seem to be too distressed such as earlier examples I have seen. The marbles obviously are refilled IMO. Sami
  9. He was a remarkable marble collector with a superb eye for the rare and beautiful marbles and endless knowledge. I was hoping to drive him up to Sacramento next month to our meeting, but it wasn't meant to be. We held our last meeting at his complex where he lived, knowing he couldn't get around much. My condolences to his family. Sami
  10. Very sad to hear that. RIP Clyde.
  11. It is actually called Blue Panther. It is a rare Peltier and could go to hundreds of dollars.
  12. Mike, Then you need to join us on October 25th. I am sure there will be one for you to view. Let me know if you need a lift. Sami
  13. Galen is right for Pelts. The name originates from Marble King Ruby Bee, applied to Peltier Red Bees with aventurine.
  14. Another vote for Joseph's Coat, at least same type and time frame if there is a minimum amount of color requirements. Sami
  15. Hansel, I am not an expert in anything. However the marbles in your box have Sparkler configuration with similar colors of Sunbursts which typically have more earth color whisps. Both types were made with similar sort of injection machinery that I have read about and similar looks. Cutlines are somewhat different and Sparklers typically have clear base glass versus Sunbursts have transparent amber, yellow, brown, green, red etc. base glass. Backlight your marbles and I bet they all have clear base.
  16. Hansel, After looking more closely I am sure they all are Akro Sparklers. These look to contain more earth colors than more typical ones, which would be the reason Mike might thought they are Sunbursts. Best regards, Sami
  17. Hansel, I think they are all Sparklers. Sami
  18. Hi guys, Our bi-annual fall marble meet is scheduled on October 25th. The venue is our friend Jeff Wichmann's fantastic American Bottle Auctions headquarters in downtown Sacramento. The adress is 915 28th street, Sacramento, CA 95816. Please note that our friend from Wisconsin Bill Bass is visiting with us for this meeting. Bill always has killer marbles for sale. Hope to see you some of you there. Sami Arim
  19. Great time as always. Thanks for putting another super effort for the Classic Seattle show. Sami
  20. He does seem to have a fetish with number "3".
