  1. "Happy Akro Friday" The "Logo Stamp" and place of manufacture on the bottom of a larger piece of Akroware, a so named "Dart Vase" Named for the dart like pointed marks streaming down from the top of the vase. There are different numbers of "Darts" that appear on different pieces. Here are a few pieces from Akro tea sets w, differing numbers of the "darts" on them. These next two pictured considerably smaller than the above w, the larger dark blue one being around 2 & 5/8ths" tall and the smaller being aroun1 & 3/8ths" tall. The lighter turquoise one is 2 & 3/8ths, I measured all w/o the lids on. They all have a little different lid that goes w, each too, guess I'm gonna have to get all the different pieces together I have and look at some pix of sets to get the correct lid on the right piece. I've just been going w, whatever fit the best which I know isn't right.
  2. Brad got a new Avatar to, did I miss New Years ??

  5. Good Day All, Hope everyone has a fantastic Thanksgiving this year. I just wanted to thank all those who came before us and gave everything they had to give that we may enjoy such a good life and so many of the freedoms we have today.
  6. "Thüringen Thursday" Joseph Coat "Happy Thanksgiving to you Matey's" "Almost time to carve me bird"
  7. Well !! neither one is Pelt, never heard those names used anywhere. The biggest Pelts I have are all Rainbos and just at or just over 1". The one on the left in the first pic does have a brick appearance "but" they look like the same maker and "appear" newer. Guess wait for others for a more definite on the I.D. I'd contact Ebay and check the "not as described" box and get my money back. Ebay will reimburse you even if the seller doesn't, but you have to check that box as the reason.
  8. Looks like a cluster of hits on the bottom left below the tape, the pocket ware doesn't appear all that bad. If it were wet mint w, absolutely no damage on it and 1.5" I'd consider $150.oo to $175.oo tops, but I'm a cheapskate I guess ?? Too much damage on this one for me personally, sorry William, all perspective at this point. Hopefully others will post. their opinions
  9. I lucked out this time for sure, I had no idea !!
  10. I agree w, you on citrus family William, closest I could get was a liberty citrus. I found these pix on the Peltier info site and left the link below. LINK : https://www.peltiermarbles.info/citrus
  11. "West Virginia Wednesday" A Champion Red Cloud. I had it labeled wrong for a long time until I posted it as a Champion Furnace marble and Chuck S. (cheese) informed me of my mistaken identity. It has also been mistaken by others as a Champion Hot Wheels. Here are a couple views of the same marble.
  12. Well all for tonight, one red one is all I could dredge up for now "maybe" more tomorrow ?? Here's a few pix of the one I was able find. I seen Arts pics and realized I have some pulls somewhere too, I'm eliminating some of the layering this Christmas so "maybe" able to find things for at least a little while ?? In all truthfulness you know I'm just making room for more !!
  13. Ah !! I found some very similar mibs w, a seam like yours and green AV. Vacor Avenger. I'll post the Ebay listings so you can take a look & see what you think. Please click on the links & see what you think ?? 14. I found one of the red ones Dave, still diggin !! I'll post a few pics before tomorrow "I hope"
  15. Might be, though it's threaded and was on a lamp when I bought it ?? I have more like it "somewhere" another red clearie, a transparent clearie and an amber clearie, all exactly like this one. The base is Brass on all of them, which kinda turns me away from being an insert, but you never know what things may have been repurposed for ?? I always ask for the key but 2 of the vendor stores I go to are 3 storied, makes for a long walk every time. I'm sure I didn't ask for a key when I probably should have. Ever notice how the tags are turned upside-down on the desirable stuff ?? A clever marketing ploy on the part of the vendor ?? Most of the Owners know me though and keep an eye on what the vendors bring in.
  16. There be a reason why you never see them in the antique shops, the only reason I got the is because I asked. The vendors goods are usually behind glass away, away from sticky fingers. An unfortunate happenstance I know !! I hate having to go back up and ask for a key every time I want to look at something.
  17. Guess maybe this is an older finial, not sure ?? The clearie is permanently attached somehow ?? Just a point of discussion, I always look for these but they seen to grow wings as I'm sure you all have discovered. Every antique store I go to that has them they're behind the counter, unfortunate I know. I had to buy the lamp attached to this one. I do have some very similar to yours "somewhere" Maybe I shoulda left em on a lamp ?? I'll dig a little tonight.
  18. Yes a Pelt John Deere, I know backward of the tractor which exhibits yellow on green. I didn't name it but it's been that way for so long that it stuck. Ox, an added treat for sure !! Either way a great marble w, a nice pattern Art !! A pic from the Peltier info site !! LINK : https://www.peltiermarbles.info/nlrs?lightbox=dataItem-j63s4i6y7
  19. I agree w/ Al, I don't see any Pelt, looks like a messed up Akro "to me" Do you have a size Dave ?? The pic makes it look huge ?? By the way "Nice Score"
  20. An old picture of some of my favorites, I used what was a "thimble" display and rubber o rings to hold the marbles fast.
