The "Score!" thread. Post your exciting finds here...
Chad G. replied to bumblebee's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
It all comes back sooner or later as a blessing in one way or another, sometimes totally unexpected like the score you got, one good wet mint av. royal is worth more than double the $60.00 you paid for the entire bag, not to mention the Pelts, man what a deal !! -

Most royals w/ av. I've ever seen at once, no wonder I can't find any !! "Great" find is the word. -
Agreed Jason, any and all things added for benefit of the members use, ease of access & or navigation of the site will attract new ones. I really like the one click "Like" (or dislike etc..) button, gonna save a lot of people a lot of key strokes. I'm not a FB guy myself, busy enough as is !!

My pleasure Al, you're welcome, I'm more than happy to help out !!

Almost a naked divided ribbon core looking at this pic & the distance between the outside white caged ribbons & the actual outside of the marble, 25 mm, very near an inch and looks to be in great shape, nice clean pontils w/ no visible damage or wear. $20 - $30.00 tops at least that's what I'd give for it personally Joep !! I like the blue jelly ribbons riding alongside the red ribbons. " A Very Nice clean mib"

I recently got a new green pelt feather slag, a good size at almost 23/32nds. This pattern is getting harder & harder to find, especially the full rooster tail, but some tail is better than no tail

Maybe a Japanese transitional ?? I know the pinch looks way to small & more of a crease on Japanese ?? More like a shear but I can't place it anywhere else ?? Canadian ?? Definitely not a cold roll. My brain hurts !!

Left is either a slag or Vacor & right appears to be a Ravenswood Blue Raven, definitely a Ravenswood

Been a while since I've seen any crows worth looking at, nice clean mib Ron !!

Yeah, takes a bit to get through the tough, tasteless candy shell but after you do it tastes just like yummy , delicious clay 🤣

Yes love the broken cork patter, checkerboard is my favorite but as you know VVHTF. 23/32nds wet superboy, the cork actually almost makes it on this one, starting points at the top & bottom are visible & the break is visible in the center of this pic. I need to take a few more pix with better views. I noticed your wiger right away when it came up, I have a pic of mine as well, not as nice but still a wiger.

Chad G. replied to Clive Whittall's topic in Marble I.D.'s
Could be Bruce ?? There are several Vacor with the black base & blue, can't tell if the base is transparent green or opaque black from the one pic ?? Here's a maybe that Vacor makes, called a "Thunderbolt" ?? -

I have some that were custom made out of very heavy Brazilian hardwoods, I'll contact him & see if he will send overseas. Here are a few boxes the person I know made for me. He is well known here & his work is impeccable. All boxes were made to my specifications and from the wood of my choice. I have a few more being made right now & will post them probably within the month. From $35.00 to over $100.00 depends on size & material. Here are a few pics of the boxes I have. All of these have magnetic locks but he can put the regular hasp on them if you like. I will Email him tonight Joep & see what he says about overseas.

WOW !! some big ones indeed Joep, I believe the ones I see in the Ebay sale I posted are smaller but I have no way of knowing Because you know as well as I they made some big cats also, but the stone does look very similar, I think your jasper guess is probably spot on. Some big, heavy chunky ones for sure. I'd hate to be on the receiving end of one of those.

Just in the last couple months I got some much sought after, (at least by me ) Pelts . All unexpectedly from some great Marble friends. I said I like & they appear !! What a Blessing, not so much the marbles but the people who sent them. I have made and continue making friends that I'm sure most will last a lifetime A few pix of the mibs I have recently been gifted in more ways than one. Pelt Pee Wee X-mas tree & a par of wolverines all three at .49" or just under A huge Pelt Cherry Bomb that came as a complete surprise, All marbles from Friends that will never leave my collection or be sold. Memories of good times & good people

I have fallen victim to the smaller & thumbsize + "Royal Doulton" mugs as well. Oh brother, animals as well, it seems my illness has spread to other areas !! I just put this display up a month ago, slowly working my way up the wall. Went from 0 to 90 in a matter of weeks, already mounting another. Help me Spock Help me!!
