I guess Tommy's is a variant, to which I have one just like it & yes it is the same as MK base wise, A copy of Chucks post. Seems this is a highly disputed subject no matter where you go !! Post with many thanks from AAM, I'll include the link to the thread as well. Guess I'm wrong & right depending if you count the variants or not ?? I'd join the protest Ric but it would lead to the worlds longest thread. LINK : https://www.allaboutmarbles.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=23563&start=0 Now were makin sense ?? (I think)

Yaaa Hooo !! Were havin fun now, Stack unstack & restack ready, repeat Ok !! Ok !!

& & & Oh wait, you changed your mind, Ah well back into this pile & sometimes I feel like I'm in a wash machine!!

Welcome to the land of confusion Ric, we had the same discussion over the same marble on AAM & was decided to be a Girl Scout ?? We wee all lost as to the true I.D. for a Girl Scout for a while. A very good discussion, this is how marbles get named I guess ?? They're so close in I.D. it's ridiculous, I just collect what I like & play repeat as to what I see I guess ?? See what I mean, the lemon lime you have a pic of has 4 ribbons not 6, I feel the same as you Ric, maybe someday it'll all get ironed out !!

Yes, I didn't have time to post them all, just trying to stick to one at a time. LINK : https://www.peltiermarbles.info/?fbclid=IwAR1tLWrHDrJV2cWWD1MbiJqJyR8GMst-Huy2WZNfpEU3VH8mEjoOonrvtaU

Green opaque base w/ opaque yellow ribbons=NLR Girl scout. I know for years I called them John Deere's as well ??
-
Confusing yes I know Ric, I have some with an apparent 5 or 6 ribbons, I agree Tommy's does have 4 ribbons, & the I.D.'s change so much I can barely keep up. Used to call the one I have pictured a lemon lime now a translucent base w/ yellow ribbons !! So many new names, I'm a pelt freak & can barely keep up. A picture from the Pelt. I.D. website of a lemon lime. A new one on me as well Ric, I wasn't aware until mere months ago !!
-
Yours is a Peltier NLR Girl Scout, the construction is a bit off but I'd still call it an NLR =opaque green base w/ opaque yellow ribbons. John Deere = opaque yellow base w/ transparent green ribbons NLR John Deere

Right on the money Tommy, that article by David is invaluable, a lot of stuff I didn't know, a perfect place to post them mibs !!
-
Correct Tommy, they look like Nova's to me, as long as their between 7/8ths & 15/15ths here's the link to "David Chamberlains" I.D. for them Steph left on the post Just click the arrow in the upper right hand corner to view David's article, I copied it & put it in a folder for future reference, just in case !! Thank you Steph !!

It was on my list forever & I never dreamed it would come the way it did !! The surfer, a Goblin etc... marbles there are only a few in existence, but who knows, if that one came walking through my door, "maybe??" Yeah right !! I'm waiting on that second lightning bolt.
-
Hello, Bill, good to see you !! Yes I waited till a few of you bought it to make sure, I don't know much about cats but I suppose that's all about to change. Thanks for the heads up Brother.

I thought I posted this here before but looked & couldn't find it. Controversial as the silver surfer & Chuck G's dark universe this one walked through my front door last summer, I guess you could call it a found in the wild mib but it found me, a VVHTF Peltier Blue Lagoon soaked in fine particle's of silver Av. I had been wanting one for quite some time & could barely believe it when it came in with a friend & a bunch of other pelts, one as made dimple & that's it, no fleas nothing.

Nice call Josh !!

I'm getting Elizabeth Kempski's new book on Cat Eye's, it should be here Thursday, I'm sure it will be a real eye opener for me as well Ric.

Agreed, I also don't see Alley, looks very similar to Veiligglas to me also !!

This is the type of tequila sunrise I'm used to seeing in the top pic, this ones on a translucent base but I've seen references of them also being on opaque bases, kinda looking like a copperhead, close but no cigar "right" of course pelt made almost every color & combination imaginable. The bottom pic is of a clear base clown, in between & everywhere else, the never ending learning curve, I can barely keep up with the new names & name changes as well !! Here's the one I'm looking for, a HTF black opaque based clown, I passed on one with a bit of pocket wear & wish I never would have, this one is on Ebay right now so I'll watch & see how high it goes. At .95" a monster, one of the biggest of this type I've ever seen.

The "Score!" thread. Post your exciting finds here...
Chad G. replied to bumblebee's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
I really like these Rainbo's or all of them for that matter, any sore is a good score nowadays Finding marbles in the wild is almost a thing of the past. -

x 2, Agree with Steph, transitional.
-
Try Backlighting it from a couple angles for a good look at the transparency, I agree with slag as well, looks very similar to Akro ??
-
x2, newer, not transitional, I think Chinese manufacture, I believe I've seen the same marbles in the "New Akro Boxes"
