Nice job Steph I couldn't figure out that site for the life of me, to much reading I guess. You just saved me hours of looking again "Thank you & double thank you" I had someone trying to tell me that they were beat out by hand you can see the machine made shear cuts & the only way to close up the sphere is in a press. I worked with steel in a shipyard as a fabricator reading blueprints & welding for 13 years & am very familiar with a steel shop, metal lathe & steel shears, plasma cutter (gun), air arc (air carbon arc cutting), steel press etc... so the reason why I highly doubted the "handmade theory"

Anyone have any info on old steelie manufacturing methods ?? I was always led to believe the old hollow steelies were handmade in some manner. But I had my doubts, they all look machine cut & are to round to be handmade I would think. I had this in one of my folders, can't remember where or when I got it, I think off one of the forums ?? Any info would help. I tried to read the pat. number but found it impossible. If you could the date of application and person that applied is right there but still I was unable to find anything else out. There is only one site you can draw this info from, and for the life of me I can't remember. Maybe my mind is going?? After a couple hours of research the links, names & dates kinda get blurred a little bit. Here is the pic of the process & patent applied for drawing. Maybe one of you is a bit better at looking than I am. Certainly a mib related question that needs answering.

Looks like a modern repro ad marble, they pump these out by the thousands, inumerable logos & stamps on them, probably 1" most commonly. I forget the site but all they have is these, by the case or individually, they get about $3.00 each, but probably buy them in bulk for pennies, you could probably google a number of sales sites pretty easy. I'll post a link as soon as I find it. I just googled "Logo marbles" on Ebay & got 843 sales sites, almost every one 1" marbles, by the case or whatever you want. There are also sites with individual mibs but every site except one was all modern repro

Locks like it could be a piece of Imperial, some of their stuff doesn't have any marks on it. Or maybe a repro toothpick, nonetheless a nice piece

Sami has has some good pics of them in his book as well as the silver surfer & the rest of the family. This one walked right in my front door, I couldn't believe it, my friend didn't even see the av. in it or know what he had. A good day, this one came to me for once, HTF any in the wild anymore, especially a rare one !! I got my Pelt tiger avatar from Sami in a trade at the Seattle show in 2017. I've bought some really nice big Pelts from him, when I can get him to turn loose of them.

A "wiger" has a base of equal amounts of orange & red, or very near to it, with black ribbons or swirls, unlike a tiger or a wasp, wiger's usually don't have av. at least I have never seen one, but as usual, they do exist as their is an exception to every rule. Most wiger's I've seen are between 5/6ths & 11/16ths. A nova is on black or occasionally white base & most commonly has ribbons on varying in color from salmon to white and everywhere in between, sizes will vary a bit but almost all of them were 7/8ths, to near 1". Nova's, root beer floats & pink Champaign's were all part of a one day run at the pelt plant in late 1988. Peltier wiger's No av in this one just HVY pocket ware. A great example One with av. from the "Peltier marbles info site" I believe Chuck Sumner (cheese) is the owner. Hello marble Friends, My neighbor about two blocks down owns this same exact car clear down to the coke bottle wheels & black paint, minus the intake coming out of the hood & MSD logo on the door. 1969 Road runner, a car I only have dreamed about owning, he stopped next to me at the light @ my house as I was leaving yesterday, In gave a thumbs up and the infamous "meep - meep" Road runner horn sounded as he honked back at me. I'll try to remember to go & get some pics of it. A beautiful fully restored to stock cond. car. Another two toned purple 69 just up the hill about a mile away, same thing totally stock & time correct. 440's are probably not the best on gas mileage but still, a great looking ride. JUST AN M2 REPLICA I HAVE, HIS EVEN HAS THE SAME STOCK BLACK PAINT JOB ON IT, I THOUGHT I WAS SEING THINGS, MINUS THE "MSD' LOGO ON THE SIDE. & YES 68-69 MALIBUS & GTO'S ARE ALSO ON MY "MOST WANTED" LIST. I OWNED A 69 GTO 4004 2 DR SEDAN WHEN I WAS A KID, SOME REGRETS GETTING RID OF IT I GUESS, EITHER THAT OR POSSIBLY PASS INTO THE NETHER NETHER FROM LEAD FOOT DISEASE !! WISH LIST ?? Well !! after over 20 years of lugging this thing around I found out what this thing was, A Vidrio fan base. The Vidrio company had their own glass manufacturing plant & made a wide variety of things. Fan bases, gear shift knobs, cigarette lighters etc... Agreed Bill, I guessed Alley so did Chuck G., that's 3 of us for the no Pelt vote. All cannonballs I've ever seen have been opaque as well. Thanks for gettin back & postin

Feebay....🤣....your crackin me up !!

Talked w/ another long term Pet collector & Agree, not a Pelt. Still all opinions matter !! The characteristics i.e. Translucent almost transparent green base, chunky av., the white looking swirls on the outside ( & swirling inside) the pitting filled w/ brick residue or ash & the lack of any real Pelt structure all are pointing to Alley for "me". Most likely a relative of the Green or Blue Giant as I have seen smaller examples of both from 5/8ths on up, of both. The Giants also exhibit the characteristic non mint surface which I believe is from the incompatibility between the large quantity of av. they tried to use and the glass. Causing dimpling, pitting & a rough surface in general. The lack of the swirling pattern like the bigger examples of the Giants is probably due to the smaller size of the Feebay example ?? Just my opinion, anxious to see what others may have to say !! A backlit Green Giant Under normal lighting, note the rough surface & white ash residue caught in the pitted, rough surface. Feebay pic

Thanks Ric, a couple spring Salmon caught out of the Columbia river a few 5 or 6 years back. The person on the (R) was my best & closest friend Don now passed & his son Brian on the left. I already had one in the bag so took a pic of them. Glad I did, some great memories for sure. I have literally thousands of fish pix, there's some more I posted a bit back on the "Lounge" thread. Getting old & stove up now, bank fishing is about all I can do, the Elk hunting and prolonged boat fishing trips are very few & far between anymore. Waiting for the Steelhead opener on the 16th of this month, hopefully the fish count #'s are good enough & they'll go on ahead & let us fish.

All the cannonballs I've seen were Pelt NLR's. Looking at the flow of the glass & lack of seams in the backlit pix on top of the chunky av. I'm not 100% so sure it's a Pelt. (Rainbo or NLR) It exhibits more Alley characteristics with the chunky av. etc... If it is a Pelt "Rainbo cannonball" would be a first for me, but there are always firsts. I'll talk with a couple Pelt head friends & see what they think on this matter. A cannonball is on what I'd call, opaque "Pelt Zebra" base glass & you can't see through it backlit like that "But" a Rainbo is most commonly green or clear glass based ?? Again I'll do a little digging and make a call or two & see what I come up with. Thank you mibber for your post, a great discussion point !! A glorified NLR Zebra ( The cannonball ) As said I have seen a few fully covered but you could still tell they were NLR's. Bill M. ( mibcapper) had one for a while that I seen pix of but sold it. I did have a pic of it but lost in the shuffle as well.

A few toy cars I like, these are a few of my favorites. I have a bunch of older ones but like these best, most of them are cars remind me of my childhood. Some are older some are almost new, not buying for value just what I like. I have dreams of owning one of these 69 Road Runners or a 69 GTO judge convertible. I had a 69 GTO coupe that I foolishly sold because I didn't trust myself with all that horsepower. Who would have thought they would ever be this hard to get ahold of let alone the price. Most of these were common when I was a kid, those were truly the good old days !!

Finally got a couple wall mount displays, made a little more room only problem is their already full. Started out like this !! A few days later !! I squeezed in another 100 but that's it, the shelf on the bottom is now stuffed as well. I was short a few shelf supports so the display company sent another whole display saying they don't send partials so now I have one more to fill as soon as I get to it, quite the undertaking, leveling & bolting it to the wall. Then it's time to work the mibs in. I can already feel my neck & back throbbing with joy
