Chad G. replied to Peltier Mibber's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
If you can dream it pelt made it, I've seen some real freaks & had some I've never seen again, so many I wish I had never let go. Never doubted you for a second Ric. -

Peltier Grey Dragon vs. Peltier Orange Angel.
Chad G. replied to Peltier Mibber's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Not Mine or any of the others I've seen Ric, all had a very solid grey opaque base, no ade qualities what so ever, but who knows, they made at least one of anything you can imagine ?? I had another called a Peltier Juggernaut, Also with a lighter opaque grey base. Found it, one I auctioned off in 09, lighter but definitely grey. Non uv. reactive also. I had one of these that was darker grey like the dragons also & the ribbons were a little redder but still a rusty shade of orange, again no uv. -
Anyone have a Peltier Banana Boat ?? Not my pics, from an Ebay sale, the thing even looks like a banana peel cracked open on one side.

You may have the real deal my friend, the base is opaque correct, not translucent like the others ?? This one is from the Peltier info site and identified as a Grey Dragon Rainbo, the one I used to have & sold was exactly like this & opaque. As this one is also listed under opaque bases. Mine was only 21/32nds. I believe you have a very rare bird there if the base is opaque & true grey. I've only heard of the larger versions but know a few exist & are NLR style like yours. Just a sec, I'm going to see if I can find mine. Found it, not a very good pic, I auctioned it off 11 years ago, but remember distinctly the grey concrete colored opaque base, as said this is a smaller 21/32nds rainbo style. This is my old auction pic, not very good but you can tell what it was. Found some more, 21/32nds not 5/8ths, definitely a rainbo style like on the Peltier info site but I am aware of an example or two not shown on the site that is large like yours & not a rainbo. I have about 15 outstanding weirdo rainbos I still have to take pics of later ( I hope )

Mcyuuuum !!

Yes a Pelt rainbo, I love em, can't get enough. They're coming up in value (fast), collectors are holding fast to what they have for the most part. Rainbo's are beautiful marbles anyway. I started collecting them long ago. Nice one Tommy !!

Great !! As you where saying have you convinced your Wife to wear one yet ?? A trio is always better than two are to help bolster your merch sales ? I know when I get my t shirt I will proudly wear it, and will get questioned on it I'm sure.

I believe Ron has one, a large board if I remember right, made for I believe 7/8ths mibs, do you have the dimensions of the board Brad ?? I never did find that out ?? By the way man " KILLER SCORE"

Yeah Buddy !! An Alley "Monochrome" (game marble) I remember posting this on AAM last year. I found this one and a couple Akro oxbloods ( bricks) digging through over half a 5 gallon bucket of game marbles, I love it, like finding a needle in a haystack or a gold nugget on a hillside. a waste of time to most, but most rewarding to some. I believe if I was a digger, or had a chance to dig, they would have called me the mole. Beauty, as always is in the eye of the beholder, there's no way I could capture how great this one is in hand, I tried for over an hour, endless different bulbs and positions, this is as good as it gets.

The first mib I posted on this thread the Peltier "Mustard Tree" as I named it just sold last week for the for mentioned price, a great marble I agree, not just because I'm a pelt head but a genuinely beautiful marble for sure. Wish I could have afforded it. Any Peltier over 3/4ths" and in mint shape like this is VVHTF.

So sorry for your loss, you have my deepest condolences. On the marbles, agree with Gladys, foreign, Asian Imperials along with a couple other foreign ones, cats and a few clearies.
