Oops !! I forgot my new little friend, this marble was given to me by a "very generous marble Brother" Coming in at just under 1/2" a little powerhouse Wolverine. A great thing receiving something from someone you'll probably never meet until we leave this earth. Here sittin next to a 1/2" dead on faceted agate I got the same day. I've got some really good pics of the Wolverine comin, I was in a hurry when I took these. I took the first one 10 seconds out of the box, it's still layin in it's nest.

There's gold in them hills, Akro gold, the more you dig the more you want, an endless mountain of happiness.................

"Yes" a brick to me Tommy, not positive on the Akro, I'm leaning towards MFC. I have a few small 9/16ths MFC but all of them have white or black, hang on I'll look for some pics. Can't find em right now so a few from my friend Terrys collection & my saved pics. MFC white brick Another MFC white brick Another MFC white brick, they don't necessarily have to have a 9 pattern. I have never seen a akro with white , black, or green but I have seen plain bricks made by MFC as "I believe" yours is. I'm not absolutely positive so maybe a few more posts will help. MFC black brick Ebay sale, MFC green brick

Yes I agree new, they come in almost every color base glass possible, orange, yellow, red, etc. I was going through some at a shop for someone just yesterday and they had about 20 or more of these, I have seen them before but the name or country origin of the manufacturer escapes me ?? I was just about to say, all of them where about 13/16ts or so.

Well I finally started collecting Vitro's. I picked up 2 opals, a buttermilk a bunch of yellow jackets and a few helmets, green face, black face, red face a blue face and one a kind of yellow, before this I had a really nice trilite and some blackies stuffed away in a jar. All I have is a pic of the trilite for now. Resembles a cler face helmet with red, white, blue & yellow stripes, Oop I just seen some old helmet pics also, these are my old ones, I don't believe I have them anymore ??

I can't resist, I think I'm addicted a "mibaholic" my friends call me a Pelthead. I don't know if it's because of the knots on the back of my head or my addiction to Peltiers ............................ and Akros, and alleys, and ................. I've even started a contemporary collection, something I thought I'd never do ?? Ah well I can think of a lot of worse things to be addicted to.

A couple new ones. A 25/32nds broken cork superboy and another 11/16ths superboy, excellent colors on this one

Yes a silver ox, an "ace "base color, non uv reactive. Here are a couple just like yours. Wish I had the sun year round for pics, the big one is over 3/4ths & the little one is 11/16ths, clean as a............................

Silver Ox ??

I just took the light to it again, definitely a slag. translucent or as we using the old term "semi transparent" Oop's !! between 13/16ths & 7/8ths, closer to 7/8ths on the digitals.

Can't wait for them pics, I can almost taste em now !! -
"Thanks Tommy" the more bizarre the more I like, I sholulda sot some more views, nothing about it is normal. it's almost opaque

a "Poosh Em Up" " Big 5 " table top steelie pinball game in near new shape, I got a very good price on this one, and play it every time I walk by. The graphics are killer, no water damage or anything else I could find. A very sturdy little game. I picked up one of the older shoot a loop games also but you're gonna have to wait on the pics.

Well I'm a couple hours early but gonna be a bit busy tomorrow, So!! This is the weirdest slag I have, just got it two weeks ago, I'm almost sure it's Akro. A bizarre tie died looking marble in hand, I just couldn't put it down a smidge over 7/8ths so a good size, nice & clean.
-
Good luck, all those early hand gathers look the same to me About the only thing I know about them is MFC never made a red slag, there I've reached the limits of my handgather knowledge. I guess some are unmistakably MFC, the rest I might as well be blind folded.............

No name, just a nice Peltier rainbo.

Mmm yeah !! time to enjoy a little inspection, great group, anything from the wild in any kind of mint shape is getting rarer & rarer. Have fun man, let us know what you favs are when you're done !! I really like the big slags, looks like a nice busy pattern on the amber one. -
Yuuum !!! "Thanks for the pic"

"Thanks Ric" I waited for a reputable box maker before getting any, Phil has been around a while & I've seen his work several times, the boxes are build like tanks & very accurate for a handmade box, I wanted cnc boxes but I just won't pay that much. The 39 hole is my favorite also, reminds me of ebony wood. Ah !! what am I talkin about, I like em all.
-
Ah another killer..........................................Good ta see ya Bill !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I can't find my box of really weird pelts, I think there's 9 in a little keeper box somewhere, I'll keep diggin, they gotta be here somewhere ??

It's close !!

The pics don't do this one justice, the flaming orange & the yellow colors are extremely bright, I picked it right out of a pile of a few hundred. Super wet looks like a mirror & I love the color contrasts.

Just got some new cases. All Brazilian hardwoods. Of the two coffin boxes, one is Padauk & the other is Red heart. The 6 count wood is called Bubinga & finally the 39 hole is Wenge wood, really heavy it feels like a piece of iron, 5/8ts, 11/16ths & the top row is 3/4ths. Fantastic workmanship, I can't wait to get some more custom ones for my big handmade Germans. I am extremely happy with the quality & the attention to detail, you might know who made these, he makes a lot of boxes, Phil Thomas from Iowa. His prices are more than reasonable, I've seen his boxes both at the marble show & on Ebay. I'm gonna get some CNC work on the lids of once I settle on what I'm gonna fill em with.
