  1. The site is growing almost daily, I have been in touch with Levi & he's more charged up than I am. Fantastic, finally a site totally dedicated to marble Show dates, reputable sellers, dealers stores & news. Gonna be a busy man and needs all the help he can get. Work that will lead to the furthering knowledge, availability & streamlining of the hobby, eliminating endless keystrokes & search queries. " Thank you Again Levi" Chad G.
  2. They have new repros of these Steph ?? they're one of the better made toys I believe from 05 or so. If I had another I would send it to ya !! Understandably yes I did have to wait a while to get one just like the one I had as a kid. They did make an earlier model, but I haven't seen one for years, people tend to hang onto things that last as long as these old toys. More pride in quality & manufacturing then, not the slap together, disposable world we live in now. Didn't mean all over by common just that they made a bunch of these, they probably made it through the childhood of the original owner and were thrown out by the parents ?? Not meaning to get under anybody's skin with the "common" remark !! It maybe all the good memories that made it seem common to me ??
  3. Hard to tell by the pics but I think the second one is Vacor(Mega), made in Mexico.
  4. It's all gold to me !!!!!!........................................... and a bunch of little ones make one big one !!!!!!!! Wish I had places like that around here to check out. Most all the dumps & homesteads around here are being or have been gleaned to death. " One mans garbage is another's gain" I bet you find some, like you said they weren't looking for mibs.
  5. Please try and include a size on the mib, can be a great help in I.D.ing some mibs, including these wirepulls. Many were made in Amsterdam by the Veiligglas company, though I'm almost certain this is not one of them a size measurement is a good indicator for identifying some manufacturers.
  6. Close but all yours appear to have a whiter translucent base instead of that of the so called muddy base of an angel. Also as Ric said yours are Rainbo's and not NLR's, another story of "close but no cigar" that I am all to familiar with. But also determined me all the more to obtain a real example. Guess I could associate marble hunting with gold mining, "I'm always lookin for a bigger nugget" Hang in there Brother !!.............
  7. You're welcome Edward !! Both of the marbles I have pictured & the onionskin you have are handmade while all the cats eyes are machine made.

    Jabos?

A bunch of them will probably fluoresce to, just in case you like that kind of thing ??
  9. Last pic big one is definite Onionskin, "underlying coat of opaque white covered or striped with other opaque colors. A Josephs coat will be minus the skin & have little windows between the opaque colors where the interior of the marble will be visible, often times the windows or cracks between colors will be so thin you'll have to backlight a Josephs coat to see the windows between the colors. This first one here has large spaces between the colors to make an easier I.D. for you. As said some J. coats will have a very narrow space between the colors and not easily discernable like this one. JOSEPHS COAT ONION SKIN
  10. How big is the red miller Bill, I think it's s miller, can't see any seems from here ??.......

    Jabos?

Yes, they all appear to be early Jabo to me
  12. Yes, correct !! Guess I should add, size is often a big help in determining the origin of the manufacture. Foreign marbles resembling master will often be much larger but appear almost the same. Also normal lighting will help immensely for most, in making a positive I.D.
  13. A Friend of mine had this game for a long time, well used I just can't resist these old indestructible games. There are newer ones but this is one of the first, as soon as it came in the mail I ran a good 20 or 30 mibs through it just for good measure, missing a little paint on the outside but well preserved on the playing surface. I can imagine how may smiles and hours of fun this brought to many a youngsters face. Simpler times and treasured memories. No drool on the PC screen here, I play these games one reason I prefer these to an old new stock example, all you can do is look at them ?? These have actual History behind them, not sitting on a dusty old shelf for years, just a personal preference, I am after all a child at heart 👨‍👦 My body has grown old but my mind always goes back to the best of times.

  16. You're quite welcome Edward, glad we could help you out a bit. "Good luck" on your marble journey Anxious to see what else you may have, you never know ??
  17. "Welcome to Marble Connection" The largest flame looking yellow, blue & white based one appears to be Veiligglas made in Amsterdam between 1949 & 1961, 2 Cats Eyes (both foreign) & the rest look like Vitro, maybe a Marble King or 2, nothing real valuable, maybe the Vitro Tiger Eye the (orange yellow, blue, white) next to the last picture $2.00 - $3.00 tops if it was wet mint, one of 3 or 4 veneered marbles you have. including 2 or 3 Phantom Conquerors, also made by Vitro and 1 Asian imperial. No real value either, maybe keep them for sentimental reasons. The only value I see would be the Veiligglas, still alot of damaged ones and I can't really tell the true condition from your pics. Even if these were all wet mint not much, maybe $10.00, $15.00 tops, if your lucky.
  18. Looks to be an MCS mibber, never seen a Clear Dragon or regular opaque Dragon, Flaming or not with white in it ?? I've been told it's called a "Colorado" a HTF MCS not as common as most colors. A good find !!
  19. Nice bunch of CAC's once you see a submarine you'll never forget it, a very spendy marble $1000.00 to $3000.00 on average for a good wet mint one with a nice electric color scheme. The first one I have posted went for $2400.00 2 years ago. I only wish it was mine, what a killer. Marbles like that are very far & few between. I hope these pics help a little, you may hit a real gold mine ???
  20. A striped transparents are a transparent color based marble with stripes of opaque white or another opaque color at or near the surface "only" there are rare examples where the opaque color is found inside the marble making it a submarine. Slags are a single stream of transparent colored glass with opaque white swirled in and in most cases inside as well as on the outside of the marble. Submarine pics courtesy of my friend Terry Christensen striped transparent Christensen slag Christensen Submarines
  21. Not mine but I had to post this bizarre Pelt "Bionic Rainbo" I can't really say it's on my want list but it is a weirdo.
  22. That's why we're all her I hope Brother, to help each other out if we can, no problem !! Yes in hand is ideal & more of an instantaneous and positive thing that's for sure.
  23. Glad something good came out of all this for ya !! Chad G.
