Agree, you can see where the veneer came completely off the Vitro in the last pic

2 colors counting the base is a prize name : three or more colors a special, many specials have their own collector names as do some prize names I.E. specials like the "life saver" you have. : both kinds of cork whether a "prize name" or "special" if given a collector name are generally worth more either for their rarity or distinct color combinations.

Best guess L to R, Akro lazy cork, ?? , Pelt MCS :

Chad G. replied to pollyestr2's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Yes, correct a clambroth With permission of the {MSCA} Marble Collectors Society of America You have an excellent example there that should fetch top dollar, one of the rarer colors and a high number of evenly spaced surface strands, & at least from your pics looks to be in excellent mint condition. You'll have to wait on another to post for an accurate appraisal. I only have the cased type myself. DEFINITION : A recent cased auction from Ebay : A picture one of mine with some other handmades, this one is identical to the one in the auction, size is 19/32nds mint I believe the cased type is a little rarer but the black ones like yours are a softer glass & harder to find in mint condition so the value should be pretty close, maybe slightly less, maybe more at auction ?? -
Glad it brought a smile to your face Brother

Brad, I found a contemp aggravation game on Ebay, the boards a little different than yours but played the same way, yes one die, it's been a while. https://www.ebay.com/itm/CLASSIC-AGGRAVATION-Board-Game-Vintage-Style-Marble-Race-2-6-PLAYERS-NEW/303028221906 This board from Amazon is exactly like the one Grandma has, except hers is plywood.
-
both Akro agate patches. I believe
-
I Can't really remember that well Ric, might have been one die, either way the same game, I think gramma even had an old aggravation box ?? Nice job man Tommy Don't quite know how I got two answers in one box ?? oh well ??
-
Agree with Steph's guess, I'm gonna go with a strange lookin Akro Indian blanket on the right (corkscrew) & a messed up newer Vacor on the left.
-
I used to play that every time we went to my grandmothers, I didn't recognize it because hers was on a piece of square plywood, but yes, you had to roll a pair of sixes or aces to get out of home then try to make it around the board to home without another players mib landing on yours, if they did it was back home you went. My whole family used to play it when I was a kid. Boy that sure brings back the memories. "Thanks again Brad"

I like your new avatar Tommy!! I remember it well.
-
Gonna look good no matter what you put in it Brad
-
Space for 80 some mibs, it's a big un alright Brad !!
-
WOW !! Nice board Brad, never seen one even close to being like it, maybe a different take on solitaire ?? maybe multiple player ?? Somebody here knows "Good score"
-
x 2, I will agree with Ric on Ravenswood, my first guess also. I also agree with "notoriously tricky" since so many companies made their own rendition. By the way, your pix are lookin fantastic in focus, great neutral background, multiple views, excellent, better than mine !!

handmade german solitaire A few examples from a solitaire board I just bought

x 2, great short conveyance, thanks I'llhavethat1, I tend to be long winded in my explanations, correct on all counts. Yes' & truly refreshing to see some hand mades, between me, Ron, & I'llhavethat1 this will be the 3rd post I've seen showing some, excellent, some beautiful eye "candy" for sure. -
Glad to see you repost that mib,, I had almost forgotten all about it, two refreshers in one night, your smokin Ric !!

Actually I was relieved to hear a good joke, and you certainly got me good on that one Ric.

I remember this marble, I miss I.D. it as Christensen, they are Alley, I talked to Ron about mibs like these and for years until provenance was proven I had some just like them in with my Christensen's, the similarities are uncanny.
