  1. I recently was introduced to and got my first polymers, now have many more on the way, some great patterns and colors with some already made & others made to my size specifications & color schemes, I'll post the few pics I have now with many more to come. These were made by "Dave Becker" { Blackhawk Agates} I have two custom made 16 count boxes all with layered flame styles in different color schemes coming. The smaller pic of the red flame is one from the 2 new boxes. The sign was made by a good friend of mine, he made 20 or 30, 'I can't really remember" a couple of them for each type of marble I have on display, one for a stand and one to hang. Hard to count all the layering in these mibs, a lot of hard work, all hand made no machines. Some of the best looking polymers I've ever seen, I never thought I would have a polymer mib but this changed my mind. This one just got done yesterday, part of one of the two 16 count boxes he's making, the other box has some completely different mibs in it. The two 16 count boxes already finished, with a custom made wooden one in the works and some of his calligraphy's to fill it also being made, hopefully a couple weeks and I'll have pix of all to share. I'm in no hurry, well worth the wait.
  2. A very underrated mib in "My opinion" some of the best stacked flame patterns I've ever seen made completely by accident I can't get enough of this thread, some great mibs fer sure. Chad G.
  3. Find the pix of Veiligglas flames, just type Veiligglas into the search "some killer lookin mibs" hard to find not beat & with the killer flame pull pattern, There is an outstanding post from last year I can't put my finger on it right now, you found this you'll find it. There's 2 15/16ths killerv Veiligglas pulls on Ebay right now I just looked at tonight, both green & white.
  4. All newer looking to me Tommy !! Anything with the oily carnival glass looking finish like the one on the bottom L and a couple others I see there with the sheen are more than likely a newer Mega or a Vacor no matter the color or surface design they put on the glass.
  5. I'd be the coach of the guys on top in green Steph. Thought you'd recognize me from my picture Yes I taught them everything they know, just look at those moves "Sweeet perfection" Talk about synchronization !! I've been working on their routine for years, and it's looking like all that hard work is finally paying off. "I can almost taste that Olympic Gold"
  6. The last mesh bags I had sprouted wings during a move. Can't even remember what they were, Marble King I believe ?? Chinese Checker bags are hard to come by unopened, kids had a real affinity for them, nice survivor Ric
  7. x 2, I agree with Steph, Vitro : The base glass & the entire construction are different Bruce, rainbows mostly have one color of ribbons, Vitro's are more a "patch design" & application. This one has green and red, besides being different colors the ribbons or colors don't meet on the opposing side, a rainbow always meets itself even if a fat ribbon on one side and a split on the other side, a general observation, there are always exceptions to the rule in mibs. I can't elaborate anymore I'll confuse myself
  8. That blue base quad twist is crazy nice assortment Tommy only 999, 999,999 colors to go to half way. I'll be posting on Saturday this round, a little slow on the draw, burning my candle at 3 ends right now!!! By the way "Nice Mibs"
  9. Talk about attention to detail, smart marketing on their behalf.

Ok I found my favorite snow globe, thankfully already downloaded to my P.C. A few shots of the same mib, no pins or anything a few asmade creases and that's it, more like a blizzard, 23/32nds, what looks like blue is a vibrant turquoise veneer that encompasses about 1/3rd of the mib, kinda off and chunky but I like it. Not much on the outside but inside is filled that's why I took the backlit pic, kind of a different lookin one for sure. If it looks like i was moving i wasn't the camera was on a tripod, this is actually how the marble looks, like it's in motion. Side shot looks like some surface air bubble pops but I assure you there are none, just the as made creasing visible at the top of the first & 4th pic.
  21. I don't know how, I've stated it several times I'm I.T. disabled, I have to wait for my friend to come over and do it for me, I got some outstanding Akros this week and have some great pics. Easier said than done, it drives me crazy every time, I've tried before and All I managed to do is erase the chip so I think I'll just wait like always. I sure feel dumb but I guess everyone has their weak points. The pics are there so maybe tomorrow or next week, I hate to repost old stuff & after all the group shots and others I'm at the end of my Akro rainbow until I get these others posted, sorry folks. I just got my first cell from a friend a month ago tells you how far behind I am, I only use about 30 or 40 mins a month so maybe just cancel the thing. & all my pics are on a Sony handy cam, takes good pix but you have to down load from a chip & I always skip a step or something, I don't want to lose the pix I have now like I've done before, it took a while to take them, a couple hundred like always so I don't have to continually call Craig for help, it's a bit demeaning.
  22. Well put Ron, good analogy "Thanks"
  23. Yes "Thank you Al" I looked last night, found them and I do have about 2 quart jars of them. As Ric was saying the reds and oranges on these pops out like a sore thumb, quite bright colors. Good to add a name to the face as always, and once learned hard to forget. Unless you have the occasional brain freeze attacks like me.
  24. ONE more day and I haven't downloaded my new Akros yet, whatever shall I do ??

I will throw mine in for a strange master as well, I have several snow globes, both slightly translucent like Bruce's and one killer transparent 7/8ths I've posted here 2 or three times. Sometimes the mistakes come out better than the original. Good stuff !!
