You're right Ron, my bad !! please excuse, the first 3 pics are sunbursts not comets !! Went to WVMCC, guess my memory is gettin as bad as my body. I should direct the apology to Rachel, which I do.

Just think all this started out as a story about fish ? now down to lemmings jumping off a cliff.

x 2, agree with Steph

Yes I have a bunch of first run, the ones I like best, that is a huge one for then. All the net bags came with one shooter but usually around 3/4. my fav is only 5/8ths but they're starting to fetch some pretty good money, especially for a good tight one "Nice (big) Mib" here's a pi of my best average joe size, $ 25.00 average + or - for a good one like this. I'm anxious to see where the giant goes myself, I put it on my watch list " Thanks for the post" I sure wish all of mine looked like this, I think I have about 36 good ones but this one by far has the busiest pattern.

Nice Steph, I've seen people use all kinds of bases, glass floats, lawn statues, I even seen pics of a car covered in a mosaic patterned layout. This is the first mosaic run for me. Great to see the creativity of others to draw inspiration from. Wow ! I googled it, take a look at what he started out with, talk about getting the creative juices flowing. AS said, "Run by Frances Green" Great post Steph, no I'll be lookin at mosaics for the next 2 hrs.

I'm lookin, to no avail yet.

Yeah !! That's what I'm sayin, everyone follows the leader like sheep to the shearer over the cliff they go, paying it no nevermind until they go over.🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐑 🐏 ............................................... Hmmmmm.......... Ram in the back, over the cliff, hey wait a minute, I've read about this somewhere before ?? Do we have any "lemming" emojis ?? Let's see, rats, bats cats, coons, cows, chickens........ nope no lemmings. Gonna have to be satisfied with the sheep I guess!! Hey wait a minute "LOOK " those sheep aren't so dumb after all !! I think they're onto us, no lambchops for dinner tonight. Maybe "Ratkabobs" ???

Hang in Josh , Oop you're right , thanks I don't even know how that thing even got in there, apologies to you Rachel & every one here, I was probably in a hurry & one slipped by. This is a pic of the suspect. THE SUSPECT ?? Hmm, I would have taken your position all the way to the bank as well. The thin ribbon you see on the bottom is a shiny copper metalic ribbon (looks kinda like a copper lutz) never seen metalic like that in any imperial, but that's beside the point. I'm going to take some macros of it and resubmit. Thanks for bringing that to my attention Josh , I really do appreciate it. I hate to miss I.D. and thereby mislead anyone. I just fetched the mib, size is 19/32nds dead on. I just looked at it under a 20 x loupe, one seam "convex" and the other "concave" exactly like the first 3 mibs I posted. Forgive the crummy pix, the end shown here is the convex end, it is, "I believe" a master. I had this in a jar of imperials forever, I was emptying a jar to sell to the thrift store last year during my semi annual culling. The glint of the copper caught my eye and raised my curiosity. I fetched my loupe to look. The copper is not what convinced me of master but it was the construction, unmistakably master, I was quite taken back, same exact construction as the first 3 pix I have posted. No Imperials I've ever seen have this, specific to Master, an I.D. marker. At most Imperials will have a dimple ?? otherwise clean on both ends, no seams. Seeing this poor quality pic would for sure have me doing the same as you Josh. Taking in the fact of a completely white base pointed me immediately away from master & to Imperial. I'll PM you as soon as I get the pix posted Josh, anxious to see what you think after seeing the seams on the ends, very prevalent just like the first 3 pix. Prepare for some mutual( but friendly) arm twisting. Hopefully my friend will be here this week, I have about 300 or more new marble pix to download. I made the fix "Dink is correct" Thanks for callin me out on that one Josh.

I believe you're right Josh, the old Rooster just had white ribbons going through the red base, no yellow !! Pics courtesy of the, biles - en - tete.com site reposted link here by Al a few months back. A copy of the Vacor (Mega) I.D. site. Thanks Al. Most complete Vacor I.D. site I've ever seen. I copied all the different kinds & put them in a folder just in case it vanishes for good next time, once was enough. LINK :https://www.billes-en-tete.com/liste_billes.php?lang=en

At last s survivor, I've been in the house for quite a while now !! Tell me how bad is it out there ?? Speaking of butter, I need some bread, my supply of that and toilet paper is getting dangerously low, whatever shall I do ?? Now that the remainder of my monthly disability check is going to the double mask amendment there's just not enough month at the end of the money !! Ah well, when the 3rd mask initiative rolls around we'll all die of carbon dioxide poisoning anyway. Here's a sneak peek at my new revolutionary C19 mask design "almost undetectable" and guaranteed to stop that pesky virus at every turn, like a brick wall. Unlike the mosquito going through a cyclone fence mask protection we have now. Maybe if we all just stay in our houses forever & call grub hub every day for our meals we'll have nothing to worry about Yeah !! that makes perfect sense

My first 3 are considered sunbursts as well as yours.

99% of the marbles I have pictured are Master!! There is one Imperial, the only white opaque base (bottom center of the group pic ) Not all master come to a point like yours, most all the ones with the same color scheme as yours I have come to a point. Take the master brushed patch for example. some come to a point like yours and others(usually bigger ones) have the (u) horseshoe shape like mine. One end of the horseshoe pattern is convex and the other concave. Just like any manufacture, the mibs will vary widely in appearance over the years, or different runs. There are certain indicators on every mib with the tell tale signs of the manufacturer. Time & experience are your best friends at this point, I have to be willing to bend a little also, how else will anyone ever learn new information ?? You can buy a cheap set of plastic calipers at any hardware store, $10.00 or less, try harbor freight. or Ace or........ Size can be very relevant to the I.D. of certain mibs, calipers are a must have for any collector, new or old.

Not a stitch of yellow Ric, what looks like yellow is the view from the transparent side thru the glass to the opaque side, the yellow tint is some of the blood red transparent mixed in the clear, very hard to explain this mib. I just took about 15 more shots of it and called Craig to get over here and load my pics onto the computer. the green didn't come out well so I'll look at it on my TV, tonight and retake anything that needs it. I didn't realize what it was worth until I seen it looking through one of my folders. I have a seven up green one almost like it, same story, half transparent half dark opaque seven up green with blood red transparent ribbons running all through it. Hopefully my pics will do them both justice, I'll take a bunch of super macro so you'll be able to see actual color and not a hot reflection or glare, you've seen my pix, they should come out ok, difficult to take accurate pix with both transp. & opaque glass with another transp. color running through it, but like I said I'll work it. The top left where you see half & half shows all the colors & construction of the marble. Oh I scored two really nice opals today a 5/8ths clambroth a couple more weird rainbo's and 6 alleys 1 of which is a Sistersville & 4 green on opaque white with the (horsehair) alley ox tracing the green & running all over them (a drizzle ) I know there common but I like them. The opals and rainbos were a gift and I had to give a little for the Alleys, Oh I almost forgot the best one. A 25/32nds miller spiderman, almost a ying yang but not quite, I could find no discernable seem, a great mib

I picked up a pelt "identical" to this last week. Blood red transparent ribbons tracing a white line on either side. One side transparent the other opaque green. Characteristics of a rainbo, an NLR and a tracer type ribbons like a Bloody Mary. Dani Kirk took this pic. in 2019. Unidentified "Peltier Christmas colors on clear marble" quote: I grabbed this one as soon as I seen it, knowing I had never seen one like it before. I wish you could see it in hand, a killer, especially the blood red color working along with the rest of the mib for some fantastic contrasts in color, I call it my "Calico" I believe the name will stick. Obviously to me from the rainbo family (I think) Original Ebay final sale price post from 2019 I'll take my own pics every way but Sunday so you can get a good look at this very unusual mib, on top of that it was given to me with a bag of others I picked out in exchange for the identification and appraisal of a couple gallon jugs. The others weren't bad either, a couple vitro opals a buttermilk & some old patch & ribbon MK's along with 2 Alleys. The more I look at the picture either mine is the same marble or it was right behind this one coming down the rollers. And I do mean exact, I can't wait for the pics to get transferred to my laptop. Anyone have one similar ??

I see an opal !! Not the most opalescent but still.
-
Thanks for the short version Ron. I just couldn't spit it out.
-
Opals are just what the name implies, when you hold them up to the light the glass has a very opalescent color to it. I have no pics of my opals but will take some tonight. Like Ric said it only takes a little light to see it. You don't need a bright maglite, just dim lamplight will do, I got my fingers crossed for ya. Here's a pic of one from my friend Terry, you can see the opalescence shining through right at the bottom of the mib I have one exactly like this one, same colors and everything, you can see the opalescence a little easier in this one, when you shine a light directly onto it it looks white "corn flower" colored as Ron said.

Masters can come in any array or combination of colors. All these are Master, the color & design of the glass you have is probably one of the more common ones. You can see some just like yours in the group shots.
