  1. Yes it is. I remember days being in there making a purchase and seeing him become angry when another customer would buy from the same game he was currently playing. He would also keep track of the numbers of the tickets and if he left, then came back and saw some had been sold, he would literally blow up. Said they were "his". Too bad the nephew nor any authorities stepped in to offer help. I don't think he would have accepted it anyway as he was a very fiery, defiant man set in his ways.
  2. This little town of less than 1,000 residents has had it's share of big winners over the years, the biggest ones being a local girl fresh off too college about 8 years ago hit $30,000 on a $3 ticket, and she rarely played scratch offs! Couple years before that an older gentleman hit $500,000 here on a $20 scratch off (I think for that game there were less than 10 available to win in the whole state). Bad thing was, he was a horrible gambler. His house and property were in a shambles as he spent Hundreds every week. He passed not too long after that win, leaving his only relative, a nephew, with his personals. Not sure what the man had too his name, but the house and buildings on his property have been torn down and replaced with metal sheds and a storage building. I actually remember, when he won that money, he became irate when he discovered that he wasn't getting the WHOLE 500k. State and Federal then were about 32.5 percent I believe. What made him madder was the fact that the store he bought it from received a "royalty" if you will from the lottery office. He thought that should be his too and went to the store and made a scene, after which he was permanently barred from entry!
  3. Yes it would! Might take my brother in law along with us this time 😊
  4. Frosted Flakes for breakfast! 😁
  5. That's one nice piece, Joep! You definitely scored on it. I might have guessed Westmoreland Glass myself. As Chad mentioned, alot of the animal slag you will find out there are 2- piece in the form of bowls, candy dishes, etc; but there are also some pieces by various companies that were made for other uses. By the way, how big is your Lion? And could you take a picture of the bottom? Once again, not Akro, but nice "Slag Glass Score" 👍
  6. Lol, right! We decided to play $40, keep $60. Out of the $40 played, won $27 back. Sitting at $87 with a $67 profit and standing pat 😊
