  1. All good! I had plans on researching anyways after getting home....also big difference with staples when it comes to galvanized 😊
  2. Looked into it a bit this morning...staples are rounded at the corners, not flat. "Back in the Saddle" debuted in 1941, a full 10 years before plastic bags were used for marbles. Would be a mesh bag otherwise. Pulling back the corner of the paper too expose its quality. Add these telltale indicators to the aforementioned indicators mentioned above equals all modern, inside and out. I thought so all along, but community input and opinions, a valuable tool and reminder for collectors. They were only 6-8 bucks apiece, didn't want to come home empty handed and I didn't break the bank either. Still nice looking marbles. I'll post pics once I extract them from their fantasy packaging 😁
  3. Very nice Rainbo, Bruce! I'm sure some of our collector friends in the Pacific Northwest like this one...Seahawk Rainbo! 😁
  4. I have a number of these, this variation of Rainbos....maybe I better look a little closer at!
  5. I think so too, actually she spotted them first (as I was absorbed in that batch of mibs). All I heard was "Bill, Bill, come here quick!" Very thankful a second set of eyes has developed. Guess she pays more attention to my Akroware and mibs than I thought! 😊
  6. Marbles seem to not move very quickly at all at this place, other than this vendor restocking with these various bags after I picked up all his jars over a month ago, everything I passed over at other stalls over a month ago was still there. I'll give it another month or more before I go back. Besides, I spotted a little hole in the wall antique store down the street from this place on the way back through after our lunch I didn't know was there. Didn't stop, already a long day, but will check it out upon our return 👍
  7. The one with the football helmets...I remember when I was around 7-8 years old collecting those whenever we my parents would take us to IHOP (International House of Pancakes) for breakfast back in Indiana 😊
  8. Welcome, Brian! You joined a knowledgeable and friendly community in MarbleConnection! Have fun 👍
  9. Once again, really digging that pinky/peachy color in the leaf. My first piece with this variation of glass 😊
  10. Was just happy to score! Here's some other bags from the same vendor, who, by the way, is the same one I got that jar from that had the Sparkler! I looked these over good and passed....
  11. I'll wait until Al pop's in with an opinion, then go from there...but I'm with you all on 0 originality...
  12. Oh, yeah! Going to get some better pics for the Akro Product thread 😊
  13. Kinda thought so...still probably won't open them? Would like to take closer looks at the contents, but that's just the marbleaholic in me 😋
  14. Scored! Few bags of mibs and a couple of pieces of Akroware...the jury is out as far as what I exactly have (posted examples in the marble ID thread). Anyway, the 4 I picked up just too not come home mibless and the Akroware...
  15. My original thoughts were that it isn't original packaging with the original marbles. They don't have barcodes anywhere but just look too new to me. They are pretty cool, I did pick up 4 of them (not pictured because I'm still in the area of purchase and they are wrapped), didn't cost much. I'm going with modern mibs packaged with reprinted labels. If someone says I'm possibly wrong I'll be happy 😊
  16. In Stewartville, Minnesota, enjoying an all you can eat buffet at the Pizza Ranch 😊 after an afternoon of treasure hunting! Sights like this in restaurants you just don't see much anymore....the good old days!
