  1. I would love to see a documentary made on your life/involvement with marbles and the marble world. Heck, even a book penned by yourself. I'm sure I would echos of approval from everyone else! Your knowledge, where you've been, what you've done, there wouldn't be enough popcorn in the world too supply the audience for that! Always loving and appreciative of your detailed information 👍👍👍
  2. You immediately took my mind to my place of employment, Miken Sports. We produce sporting goods products, mainly softball and baseball bats and batting helmets (The ones you see MLB players wearing in the batter's box) We used to make our bats exclusively with a composite/kevlar combination. Now in recent years there has been a transition too mainly silicon barrels with a separate handful, or two-piece bat. The flex technology Is now based in the handle/barrel connection point instead of the barrel itself. Why? Cost cutting too compete against the rival companies. Sorry too get away from marbles but had to spew that out. Back to mibs!
  3. Nice. That just helped me out alot also, Ron. If it was mentioned before, I must have either missed it or forgot about the Jabo/ Vitro process connection. I should re-review my Jabos. Great information.
  4. I'd rather it be a Pelt myself of course...I need too get a new battery in my pen light but on my phone light it does appear to have 4. The 4th, if indeed is a 4th, is a little broken up, deeper in the marble, and really tight against another ribbon. I'll post more pics when I get a good 2nd light.
  5. In these pics and maybe on your monitors it may look more too the green side but it's a blue base glass loaded with bubbles. Comes in at 0.89...thinking modern.
  6. Playing marbles with a buzzsaw? 😝
  7. Man, just woke up too bunch of screaming and hissing, went downstairs and what the heck is going on? A cat fight between a bunch of fat cats ðŸĪĢ
  8. My gal thought the Moon 🌜
  9. This was actually one of the first marbles I posted after I joined!
  10. Here's mine, an old lunker coming in at 1.38 that I found in a small Tupperware container mixed in with a handful of random marbles. It was a laundromat that doubles as a thrift store in a small town only 7 miles from me. Considering his age, it's a wonder he's still alive!
  11. Own a beat up marble? A veteran of the Glass Wars that has the battle scars too prove it? I'm sure everyone has come across these while collecting, but were they kept? Let's show them off and their story if they have one! Thought I would start a fun, new thread 😊
  12. I think what he sees is in the palest band of color, 2nd pic bottom middle and 8th pic bottom left. It's a nice looking marble 😊
  13. Congratulations and well wishes I wish to extend too you. Even though I have never met any of you and have only got to know you all through texts and pictures, I do feel like it's been a lot longer than almost 2 months. That's exactly how you, Ric, and everyone else here has made me feel....happy, welcome and part of an extended family. I will know that feeling of retirement I hope one day, I'll be 53 a week from Friday so not too many years to go. Reap the rewards of a life well lived and thank God for every day going forward! Once again, congratulations and marble on! 😊👍
  14. "There's no disguising that double vision" 😁
  15. Box or safe won't work, from what I recall from the movie they have acid blood ðŸ˜ē
  16. ðŸĨš=ðŸ‘―
  17. Ha, the facehuggers 😎
  18. Snake indeed! Almost like an encased worm in appearance, really cool marble!
  19. Really getting into this Pelt explosion of posts lately 👍

    Pelt?2

Is it me or has the past almost week just been Pelt Rainbo crazy? ðŸĪŠ
  21. They normally get anywhere from 12 too 20 inches here in southeast Minnesota, but people have been known to bring in 24-26 inch beauty's. My biggest one Sunday after I caught that baby was about 13 inches, I don't like keeping anything under 15inches 😊
  22. I did get them much bigger later and also spotted some that are brand new too the world (if you look closely you can see them at the surface)
  23. Well, went fishing at one of my favorite spots and caught my first trout of the year! 😝
  24. Marble is 0.66 and has the same black "material" as the Rainbo I posted, only in little chunks on and below the surface. What do we have here?
