If it’s green and glows, is it jadeite? Need help with this ID. Thanks!
akroorka replied to Maycee's topic in Marble I.D.'s
Sorry Maycee, I should have extended a welcome to the Marble Connection, Also, I am refering to the upper right hand marble in your images--not the glower. Akro Agate did market the name "Jadite" in the glass ware that they produced. I do not recall seeing any reference to the marbles that they produced as "Jadite" however--I may be wrong and some help here may be needed. Thanks, and welcome once again. Marble--On!! -

Jadeite--well pretty close for sure. The glass maker Akro Agate did use the same glass recipes for their marbles and glass wear. In the marble world we would call this one a "Gamer" or a solid. It was more than likely part of a game such as "Chinese Checkers". Marble--On!! -
I looked long and hard at this one. When a consensus is not reached I defer to the damage that may be present. This one has some of the most wear that I have seen on a Jabo—it still shows the little white hit marks of the softer Jabo glass—but it stood up pretty well. I have seen plenty of Jabo “Classics” (made as a production for the masses from the factory) that look like this one. Jabo imho. Nice ask for sure! Marble—On!!

I will take this image late always--pretty cool---that little twist of oxblood in the image. I have a one inch patch with similar colors--I wonder?? Is this bait or will you show some more? Marble--On!!

I looked--no size, history or description. If they are Jabo they are mostley "Contract" marbles imho. The contract marbles used pink in a lot of runs-because before this--Pink was quite rare in any marble--but the newer runs--post the contract runs do too. You have to post some more images to get a real description. @Nantucketdink is alway my go to here. Marble--On!!

The little dots on Benningtons came from them being stacked so closely together during the firing process--yep--they stuck to each other. Marble--On!!

I just desire the patience of @Chad G., a mentor and a big brother to all of us here. Our big sister @Steph has left and her patience and work here has modified my patience as well. Lets make this work for awhile again--we are all getting older but "mentorship" is a real thing that deserves attention at the highest level--it also rewards the mentor in a good way. I know--it can get boring for us old farts --just pass it on and be rewarded, make yourself feel better by sharing your knowledge. It sure works for me, five minutes of your time will speak hours to many out there. A positive word here or there is all it takes to make it work. This is not meant for you Shamrock--it is meant for all of us here at "TheMarbleConnection", the oldest marble chat group on Planet Earth. As always--- Marble--On!! -

Bullseye China? It does look glazed from my angle. Do not let the name fool you--most of the "Chinas" were made in Germany. Yes--folks collect these and condition is always a factor. The brown one to the lower right is in fact a "bennington" so you have a few involved there. Marble--On!!

Glass jars make a good display, some cool old jars really will show them off without taking up too much room. Jars are easier to dust than individual marbles are😁. Marble--On!!

Nice images--not a wirepull imho. WVS--common to find. There are very few people left in this world that can ID a "Jackson" imho. If it is yours--keep it--I would not buy it based on what you are looking for. Marble--On!! -
River dug or outhouse marbles?--Maybe. I think that you have a few glass ones mixed in here. I do not see any "Bennies". Clay for the most part. Tap them on a tooth to tell the diference. Brian Graham has researched American made clays more than any one else. I can never remember his user name here but this is a link to his website. https://www.briangrahamglass.com/marbles/ Marble--On!!
