  5. This one is small—a good tell. It is a hair under 9/16”. Gladly I did not buy it ---for it. It came with some rather nice 1 inch Akros. See the little white marks—I soaked this one in Lacquer thinner for awhile then scrubbed it with a toothbrush. I wanted it to be real but I always have to test my instincts. The white marks are the remnants of polishing compound. The thing was with this one—there were little white marks buried under the glass surface. The natural blow outs show a bit of weird wear around the edges—they should be smooth. It was at the very least- buffed, more than likely a great polish job. Imho—it was a great CAC marble—even with damage—now—it just sucks imho. Sling-shot ammo. ( I will save it for future reference) I just hate any polished machine made marbles—just really hate them. Marble—On!!
  6. Search boxes of Akro "Tricolor Agates". This is where I am coming from. Marble--On!!
  7. These "Newer MK" can fool any one--including me. This is what I think you are showing here. I appreciate any further opinions and respect them all. Marble--On!!
  8. This is a tuff one. The English Whisplers are coming into the USA more and more through online sales. The third image is a great one. It shows it to be 1/2 and 1/2 as far as coverage or cutlines go. Master patches are usually--usually 1/3 to 2/3--usually at least imho. The colors are not Akro imho. ( not really Master either) I have a hard time calling this one. Great images--nice marble as well! I will call this one English. I appreciate all opinions and respect them all. Marble--On!!
  9. Nice images--maybe too nice-- I will stick my neck out because I am a color guy before a cutline guy. The cutlines are Master--the colors are Akro. Akro---nice marble! I appreciate all opinions and welcome them. Marble--On!!

I would have snuck the middle jar out to the car--nuff said! Pretty funny schmoozer, been there--done that! Marble--On!!
  11. This one is just killer. I wish that I knew who made it. Let’s just call it a hair or two under 1". Yep-- R2-D2, the true hero of the Star Wars saga. I collect Star Wars stuff--especially R2-D2 things. Great graphics and color are included in this one. I was surprised when I received it to tell the truth. Collect what you like—I do. Marble—On!!
  12. The fold really ate this one up--still cool without a doubt. I have seen a few of theses bigger ones with "coke bottle glass" as a base--not many though. Conqueror may be the answer. The big sisters/brothers never act like the little sisters--or brothers--lol. I like it! Marble--On!!
  13. Here is a link with a few that could be what you have--or not. https://marbleconnection.com/topic/27645-vitro-du-lites/ Marble--On!!

  19. @wvron has told us all that they used to repair the rollers and the pits in them with copper. This is a good example imho. No ID from me--just what I seem to remember. Marble--On!!
  20. Many folks over the last 40 years or so jumped to the wrong side---Alley vs CAC---and spent the wrong amount of money. It is all coming into play today I used to sell--just a few. I remember selling Pistachios as CAC--well, that was what they were back then. After I found out that I was wrong—I have no regrets. I did start my research back then on CAC however. I never want to be misrepresented. They were "Killer" flames for sure--out to the West Coast they went and the buyer was just giggling to have them. (The money that I received went to—well--you know it—Akros) After the Alley revolution by the great diggers in WV, I researched Ohio Swirls for many years. I am OK with Ohio Swirls now—The WVS still knock me apart in too many directions. There were many CACs that were found in the rivers and bottom lands of Ohio—Hats off to L.J.! He had the foresight to know what he had and to push them into the fore front, many buckets full at the very least. There are too many to thank in this hobby. I thank you all for what you have all done to contribute. Let’s not forget the ones that are gone! Marble on my Sisters and Brothers in the Great Marble Sky above us all!! Marble—On!!
  21. Good eye Gladys--you read my mind! Marble--On!!
