  1. Alan is right on. Not a very hard find imho. I would never bid on a marble with such cloudy images. Marble--On!!
  2. The yellow is awfully bright for a CAC--is there any av in the black? You all know were I am going here. Marble--On!!
  3. The first marble needs a clearer image group, but it does remind me of a nice Vitro “Biscuits and Gravy” type. The second one screams “I was made overseas “but those nice long cut marks along with the nice smooth finish pushes me towards another type of Vitro that I cannot call here. The second one is also veneered marble that is well covered. If you broke it open it would be “all white” inside, much like some of the more famous Vitro made marbles. Size always matters Kadillak. Marble—On!!
  4. In my opinion--this one is a Vitro. Lets call in @Melissa, she knows her MK marbles and Vitro as well. Nice find regardless. Marble--On!!
  5. This one is a Rainbo--size matters as far as the "Just Rainbo" thing goes. Rainbos reached an inch in diameter--not too hard to find but pretty cool in the larger sizes imho. Marble--On!!
  6. Nice images! I am looking at the "Pocket wear" here. Not a Jabo Imho. This one is a WVS with opalescent base glass. It would be hard to backlight this one to make sure due to the purple involved. If I were forced to make an ID during a Poker Game--I would call it a Heaton--but I really suck at wvs ID's and would loose the pool in most cases. More opinions are needed here for sure and I respect them all. Marble--On!!
  7. If only I knew my Germans--Great marble-Great find. Lets as @Alan and @Chad G. what they think. Marble--On!!
  8. I agree with Alan here. Something happened where a piece popped off while in the rounding process on the rollers. I have seen plenty of flat sided marbles but they generally have two flat opposing sides. This is hard to explain but it does happen. Once in awhile a marble does not want to roll to a round form. "Flat Spotted" may need to be explained in greater detail than I have to offer here. Thanks Alan! Marble--On!!
  9. They are rare for a reason, maybe Sally has none. I have never held a "Blue Galaxy". I have seen them in person but never picked one up. The dealers hold these close and I respect that knowing that I have dropped more marbles than I am willing to admit. No one at a show has ever denied me to pick it up and feel it and most encourage it. If I was a buyer of course I would--pick it up. I never hold a marble that I cannot afford. I once had a Cadillac dealer offer me a drive in a supercharged STSV, I said no because it was not in my budget, he took me for a drive then handed the keys over. I drove it like I stole it--great fun--he never flinched (the poor tires took a beating😁) Marble--On!!
  10. Nice marbles Ric! That top left one is odd for sure, at least in my experience—nice one. There is also a good example of a Jabo “Butt Crack” in a classic marble, very cool. Thanks for sharing and--- Marble—On!!
  11. I love the "Wicked Owls" and your big one is one to be desired by many--just a "Killer" example. Thanks for sharing it/them. Marble--On!!
  12. Thanks Mia and welcome to TheMarbleConnection. You shared some nice ones here--keep them coming. Share your knowledge here with no fear of any nasty responses. Abuse is not allowed here @Chad G. @bumblebee and @akroorka will respond with haste if it ever happens to anyone here on TheMarbleConnection. Welcome once again our marble collecting Friend. Marble--On!!
  13. I like it for sure LevvyPoole. I have a few younger grandkids that like to spend time with me doing this stuff, they blow me away really and I have to slow them down just to keep up. They have to be patient when working with me😁, it is hard but a lesson to be learned for sure. Not too long down the road the Great Grandkids will be joining me in this fun. I do it to keep my mind working.
  14. Well, in this case show a jar or two at a time with nice crisp images. Clean the jars for a better result. 90 is a lot of years. Research German hand-mades and look for them in the jars. Based on your blurry images--I do not feel right about the 90 years thing. I am looking at these on a 22" monitor not a phone or tablet. Dust collects in a hurry--just ask any marble collector. Good luck and of course-- Marble--On!!
  15. Nice find and nice images as well. This one shows some opalescent qualities though I could never prove it. There were a lot of glass companies that did not make marbles and many Marble companies purchased "Cullet" or not perfect glass, from these companies. I am in a brain fog right now but there was a glass company that made jars for makeup that many WVS makers purchased this opalescent glass from. I think that you have an Alley Agate here. More opinions and comments are needed here. Marble--On!!
  16. Vitro X2--nice find! I would call it an "All Red". Marble--On!!
  17. If a collector has no patience, they are just "buyers" imho. Trades are a special thing, one on one with no regards to time management. I just love a good trade and I have never had a bad one. Marble--On!!
  18. No corkscrew here. Just a nice WVS. More opinions are needed as far as the maker goes. Marble--On!!
  19. This is not a CAC. Alley would be my best guess. Sistersville is out of my realm on any ID. Lets ask @cheese for an opinion. @cheese along with others has a new book coming out soon regarding WVS. Marble--On!!
  20. It is not an Akro Sparkler--nuf said. It does look like an English (UK) made marble imho. Bloody cool damage with this one. It took a beating and kept on ticking. Marble--On!!
  21. This one looks like an Alley Agate to me. Lets get some more opionions. Marble--On!!
  22. I have a few boxes ready to open--for a long, long, time. It does take some patience on my part, but I do pretty well. I wait for a special period to open them--it just gets me going once again. I just love this stuff. Thankfully my trading partners know this from me--Patience on my part. It is the key to collecting anything. Wait and be rewarded--it will come for sure. Marble--On!!
  23. @Mojo? We all appreciate your opinions here. Marble--On!!
