I have three real "Moonies"
akroorka replied to The Nickel Guy's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
LOL they did not rock many boats but they rocked mine. I also love a good "Akro Flintie" ---- I always tought that the white ones were renamed "Moonies". CAC also made Moonies (or was is MFC?). The grey matter is not reponding very well today--time for a rebootđ. Matter--On!! -

A Vacor âKatydidâ is very similarâdoes it have an Iridescent (chromish) finish? It may have come out of a net of mixed styles if it does not have that type of finish. There are some very weird Vacor marbles that may be found in the mixed nets. It is a newer marbleâMega maybe. I agree that it is a Vacor MarbleâOn!!

Nice marbles! The little flecks that you call âLutzâ are actually un-dissolved bits of minerals that were used in the recipe mix. We, as collectors will call this âAventurineâ commonly. The green colors of all makers have this more commonly than any other color. Lutz is associated with old âGermanâ Handmade marbles for the most part. Contemporary handmade marbles may include some âLutzâ as well. MarbleâOn!!

I agree with all that has been said and will throw in the possibility of it being a âMaster Glass Catâs Eyeâ. MarbleâOn!!

I have a few dozen Akro Agate Corkscrews
akroorka replied to The Nickel Guy's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Share all that you desire--no one gets bored looking at marbles here. "Popeyes" all have a clear transparent base glass. Some may argue that there is a nifty looking one with UV reactive yellow base glass(very cool)! Your last image may have a "Popeye" near the bottom--blue and yellow. Marble--On!! Here are a few of my favorite white base corkscrews. This olive drab color commonly shows flecks of AV. Marble--On!! -
