  1. I know UV but 395 is not in my venacular--please explain this. These marbles remind me of something that I never really got cleared up as far as I can remember. I think Vitro, many thought Akro. This type came in some "Victory" marked "jobber boxes" boxes marketed during the "Bicentennial". The colors are very close to what I found in a Vitro "Fisher Jewel Tray" involving helmets. I will show some images below. I think that the OP are Vitro marbles Marble--On!!
  2. 2025 is right around the corner--I consider this my very best find. Marble--On!!
  3. This may be one of the top five that I have seen--maybe top two!! Very nice find--- Marble--On!!
  4. Nuff said, my marble collecting friend. I fill boxes and this template is my go to when sorting, fast efficient and well ---very easy. Cutting hairs with the size--never have been a big fan of this. One after another--millions made--all the same run--size did matter but not that much. Marble--On!!
  5. Great Post Ric---and by the way--welcome back once again. Marble--On!!

You are all the backbone of marble collecting here--I have forgot quite a few--forgive me--I am getting old too---. Bring them in if you can, the others that I forget. Just step up and show what it was all about and still, is to this day, the top notch in your collection! Show us what you love! Happy 2025--almost---- I jus love this stuff an I know that you all do as well. Marble--On!!
  11. I agree--nuff said! Marble--On!!
  12. This one is a Vacor "Zebra" imho--just a really nice one. @Mojo has seen more of these weird ones than I ever have. I have no doubt that Vacor uses "cullet", or glass from other companies--this may explain the "glow". @Andy McLaughlin from Alaska has seen even more than @Mojo but he is probably out fishing--he wrote the books on these Vacor "weirdos". I would love him to check in during the luul in fishing/hunting/being an Alaskanā€”. Marbleā€”On!!
  13. Love it all --great info as well. I used to take home the styrofoam holders from blood sampe tubes, 5/8" marbles fit perfect and tight for shipping--waayyyy back when I used to sell. Marble--On!!
  14. One more day-----show your best/favorite! I will post my best find on the 31st--yep, even better than this one! Marble--On!!
  15. First of all --very nice images--lets get to the rest of the post. Marble--On!! Great link --but?? Marble--On!! Great link "et cetera"--But???. I have always agreed with "Master" (Master Glass) on these--what is a PB?--I am old--just take another second and type it out. Our old friend Ron Shaw researched these things like a fox go's after that rabbit that could never be caught. He was the Expert here--did he ever come to a conclusion @cheese? Regardless of this ā€“Who really made these?? Do some research like Ron did and try to find out---Maybe----? These have been researched like no other machine made marble imho. I want to see them in bags--just sayin. At this point after a bit of research--the op is either a Ravenswood or a Master Glass made marble. I just love this stuff!! Marbleā€”On!!
  16. Yep! Nice marble--nice find! Marble--On!!
  17. A bunch of companies made slagā€™sā€”this one is not Akro, MFC, CAC or Peltier imhoā€”but just maybe a slag. Slags are simply white with a colored transparent base glass that have no rhyme or reason in the construction. All marbles have two cutlineā€™s but these may be harder to tell just where they are. The glass was not injected, just mixed together in the furnace and out the funnel through the shears and rounded by machinery of one sort or another. The handmade ones used this same process--just by hand--no machine driven rollers for the most part I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Marbleā€”On!!
  18. A varied group of hues--all Vacor I think. @Mojo knows his Vacor--lets call him in here. Marble--On!!
  19. I am not seeing any Jabo here. @Nantucketdink will scope them out if anyone can. Nice group! Marble--On!!
  20. It would be pretty big and rare for an Akro of this type. I would probably sort it as a Vitro, just not quite a Vacor imho. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Marble--On!!
