One of my best friends son came over to visit
akroorka replied to Mojo's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
I still have the hair Ric--if I let it grow. It just does not look the same with a White Beard. Nice share Mojo!! Little kids --On!! -
Every day my friend---I wish!! Marble--On!!

Fire is on the right track here. Your images are a bit dark for a final eval. I would consider that the English made Whisplers were more available in Canada than in the USA (if the Queen desired it). Did you know that the Queen collected marbles? Just kidding heređ. Marble--On!!

Acually--the bottom one in the first image deserves a better look--this one does not fit with the rest. All four sides please (Does a marble have four sides?đ). Nice buy regardless. I would pay up for these for sure--cheaper than a bag of chips! Marble--On!!

Welcome to TheMarbleConnection waterfowlee810. (duck hunter?) The marbles that you show--some are old some are new--Asian and Mexican--a mix. Throw them in a fancy jar and ask $30--gone in an instant. None are valuable but as as display piece--pretty cool. Nice colors! Marble--On!!

I agree Fire. Marble--On!!

MasterMadeMarbles turned into Master Glass--the quality was not the same and it was forced by the USA allowing certain items after WW2 to rebuild the Japenese markets. MasterGlass actually purchased Akro and this is why we have some difficulty distiguishing some of the later boxes. I just love this stuff. Marble--On!!

???? I do not know--- Marble--On!!

Agreed Ric These confetti marbles are a cool thing to hold and feel. While the marble was being made, there were different colors thrown over the little orbs as they passed down the roller. Yours are well covered. No swindle here unless you paid too much. 20 bucks or under would be a good deal. MarbleâOn!!

Nice marble Ricâvery nice-- but I think that Fire has a different perspective here and I hope that he shares his ideas as well. I think that I know who Fires marbles came fromâa very respectable source for sure. MarbleâOn!!

Well that is very cool stuff shiroaiko (does shiroaiko mean akroorka in Japenese?đ). The Op in this post is still a mindblower--love it! Marble--On!!

X2---Master digs are unknown to me as well. Marble--On!!

What RIc says X2. There is a good chance that this one came from the "Digs". Marbles that were not up to par would be disgarded by the company quality control and buried in a variety of ways. Way back then there were few controls on what and how an item--any item, could be disgarded. Many CAC marbles that we see today came out of a river. Marble--On!!

I have heard the term before but a more in depth explanation would be appreciated. My "New book" does not have anything on Tweeners that I could find. Marble--On!!

Welcome to TheMarbleConnection vintage stuff. Nice find for sure. Do you know @Mojo--give him a ring on a Personal Message. Marble--On!!

Actually davesnotthere, I think that the one that you show here is a MasterMade--not a MasterGlass. These big "MasterMadeMarbles' are not an easy find, even more rare are blowouts on a Master Made. I love this marble--great find! Marble--On!!

White does seem to be the standard here Fire--hard to find these big ones are (now I am talking like Yoda--I am not that old--am I) Marble--On!!

Which one crows the loudest?đ.

I have a bunch of these and can't figure out what they are.

X2--what Ric says. Marble--On!! -
This one is a "Champion Furnace" or more commonly known today as a "Tank Wash Marble". One of the og as far as tank wash marbles go. There are many Jabo out there advertised as "Tank Washed" which is the true term--but these Champions were well before their time. Love em ! This color combo is more common--yet still rare. Nice marble!!! Marble--On!!

This marble is just killer--I love the pitch fork--no idea on the maker though. Marble--On!!

I am amazed at this one Tommyâjust flaber-gassed. I have never seen one like it. 99% of the black that you see in marbles/glass is either purple, brown, green, grey or blue. True black is a very hard find in any glass and I remember having some heated discussions with our old friend Ron regarding this âno black glass thingâ. He convinced me that there is true black glass and had recipes to back him upâI gave up and have yet to see it in hand. This is just a great corkscrewâwhy would one quit collecting them? They are always showing up as one offs or very special ones. Backlight them all---- I just love this stuff. Thanks for sharing this one. MarbleâOn!!

Welcome back Ric--great observation. The Heatons did show this trait--a bit more rare than a Vitro but good food for thought that is much appreciated. Marble--On!!

I moved this post for better recognition from the Bill Towe post. Marble--On!!

I would call it a near mint Popeye Hybrid. Not too common--but as far as Popeye hybrids go-more common than most hybrids. This one has very nice action to it. No price from me. Nice find!
