Its ballast. Any time you hear someone pitching a marble with a grand story and glorious proclamations of their rarity/value - know one thing: "A good marble doesn't need a story to sell itself". But a shyster/liar will feel compelled to invent a story. Once you see the story coming - walk away. Its a waste of life. -

You efforts are quite a contribution to the hobby. Props. There are two sources for modern cards: Former Running Rabbit auction notice cards (which were very well done, and some cards that were (IIRC) done by Elliott Pincus for his auctions. I have a number of each squirreled away somewhere. -
I buy with goals in mind. Otherwise - its an accumulation, not a collection. That way I rarely end up with "extras".
