A touching story and he must have been quite the guy. I don't know what his forum name was. Maybe somebody does and you can search the forum by looking for that. It would be neat if you learned a bit what those marbles are that he left you. People here can help you with that if you need or want.

I'd love to find glass on the beach. Not to hijack your thread but it seems like a good time to ask for both of us. I can understand pieces of smoothed edge glass being found on any beach but I always wondered why marbles get found so often with that sea glass look. Did the marble companies dump them the dame way in the lakes and ocean like they did to get rid of them in the dumps? They did get rid of a lot if they were defective or not up to par? Right?

I have been finding some odd Mega Marbles in the asst bags too. Great finds Joe2 !

I made some home-made tags. I will be making use of them with the recycled asst net bags. I re-use the nets when assembling these 24 + 1 sets.

I am sure I have some of the basic white base Ravenwood swirls but I know I have no Blue Green or Red Ravens. :-( I saw the video when it was only 8 hours old the other day. Was going to post it but figured somebody would or might have already done so. I have watched your videos so many times, I'm getting to a memorization level. Thanks so much Stephen. So professional. I've learned so much. Best source for learning.. Please keep them coming. I also get a kick out of the background music.It is fun and funny too sometimes. It's all good. Those are two great pieces of art. Both look to be from the 50's.

Diagnosis: Mega Obsession Disorder My collection continues to grow. I am assembling my own sets, reusing net bags and making up my own tags. I am at about a dozen short of 3000 Mega Marbles. All sorted alphabetically and on a spreadsheet. Top case has either 24 plus a shooter or needs a shooter. On the floor are generally sorted, less than 24 count lots and shooters. Some might not care for these Mexican marbles but I assure you, there are some truly beautiful ones to be had, even some common modern issues can be very nice. I have found numerous odd hybrids and off the wall color combos that I have seen nowhere else yet. Where I can't find a label, I have made up my own. If only I could find a trading partner.

Thank you so much for the clarification! My three are just the same cobalt with white patches in the 5/8th range. No muddy area inside the white on mine either which looks like another one of the requirements. When mine grows up it wants to be just like Fire's.

Ohhhhh Has to be large huh. I think mine are 5/8th inch. Look very much like that but size matters i this case. Thank you kindly VaMarbles.

In my recent purchase of a few hundred Vitros, three had deep cobalt blue transparent base glass with a white patch. Maybe that is just what it is. However, I wonder what the criteria is for a Blue Devil. I am thinking there is some tan or brown in the mix of the white. Like it is a little muddy that makes it one? Please post one if it rolls by. Thanks

I had it full a couple times sorting today. I left some oddballs on it for this picture. I made it through my new "Score" of Marble Kings this afternoon. They are in great condition. Now for the Vitros!

Finished up this morning. There are more like 160 holders on the bleachers. Drilled every one by hand. lol Today . . . what a coincidence! I am getting a package with about 800 marbles. Pictures will follow. (It will fit in my aquarium too.) Maybeeeeeeee?
