  1. It does make sense, and maybe on the opposite end of the spectrum as well, with less white, they may be stuck in with Spirals. I have a red Spiral that has the thinnest ribbon of opalescense running through it. I keep it with my other Spirals.
  2. I have so much searching to do again, in those ads it almost looks like at first glance the bases are opaque white. Here are the best pictures I could find right now of the yellow Ace I had in mind.
  3. I tried finding an Ace, I think I have two maybe three, both of these have an opalescense in the base with a blue and a black ribbon, are these correct? I also noticed in the ad for Aces, that yellow is not listed, did it maybe come out later after that ad? I'm pretty sure I have a yellow one as well. (That black one is very difficult to photograph)
  4. These were the first type of Akro I collected, I've only found the one 5/8" in this color combo.
  5. I remember seeing that ad with the "exquisite patterns" for Moss Agates Feel free to remove these if I am incorrect in placing these here.
  6. I spent some time over the weekend looking through the archives, pics, and tutorials and have a better understanding of what you're saying. It's less of a situation of "I want to call it an Ace because that sounds cooler" and more of a "Alan gave me the appreciation for marbles, and now I always want go to his page for identifications" and feel the need to be stubborn about it. Still learning and I do care.
  7. Vitro Superiors are hard to find!
  8. That's what I was going by as well Winnie ...
  9. I would LOVE to go. Unfortunately, I keep receiving bills in the mail dang it. I wish they would stop Someday I'll retire, can't wait.
  10. I don't think there is an actual yellow in this marble, it looks to me like its a deep orange or red, but thin over the opaque white, which is making it appear yellow if that makes sense. I looked and looked at several different ketchup and mustards, and as much as I want it to be one, I don't think it is. I'm having a hard time distinguishing ribbons, but only because I'm not too familiar with Pelt construction. A bloodie? I'll start looking those up And do you have a name for it MC Marbles?
  11. I'm sorry, I should have included that in the original photos and the size : 7/8"
  12. Oh! wow, that is not what I was looking for lol, I guess I figured it was more of a thin smeared ink. That is really cool, and literally looks like ink. Thanks migbar
  13. I was looking around trying to find another Pelt similar to the one above, no luck ann, is this close to what you described above?
  14. I have reservations for what looks like an opaque white running alongside the light blue. Lollol! about the cornflower It's pretty darn close. These pics are the best I could do to capture the wispy white. I've not seen another of these, just a strange marble that I'm trying to place.
  15. This is a strange one, it looks like technically it qualifies as a Popeye, two colors and wispy white, but I don't know, what do you guys think?
  16. Wow! That is beautiful, so much aventurine.
  17. Deep blue and black , I like this combo I haven't seen very many like it
  18. Hey! Nice variety on those Akro shooters! My first favorite I collected is at the 5 o'clock position, the cobalt with whispy white on the translucent base. Love those.
  19. Whoop! I hadn't even considered the spelling of it. It sounds like an Inkie is a blue or black striping on a white base? So is Alley then the only maker that called one of their marbles an Inkie, and the others are collector-named? Yes, I would love to see pics.
