  1. Outside my front door. I get to smile leaving and coming home. Some plants seem to appreciate less water?
  2. Sure looks like a Banded Translucent to me. Killer mib Dani!!
  3. Thank you very much for your information Ron. Some folks may believe I am being confrontational, not the case at all, I am always seeking more knowledge and my questions posted the way they are seem to gain the most response. Still not convinced but getting closer.
  4. So if they are not Alley made and are supposed to be Akro why are the same marbles not found in any Akro literature or packaging and why are there not large amounts of known Akro types(corkscrews) found in the dirt.
  5. Nice little village there Lloyd. So I found these last Friday. Seems we have a variety out here after all. Most were dried up but there were several plants that didn't seem to know the date.
  6. Funny thing, never seen a patch like that come from the Akro site.
  7. I would have guessed Champion?
  8. I had the boards, Marlow had the marbles. Brought the marbles back from the Vegas show and got them together. . The show was a bit smaller than usual but had just as much fun as always and sold and bought quite a few! And am still recovering from the seafood buffet Friday night at the Rio with the Kirks..
  9. In my opinion None of the books are really good enough to ID and price the majority of marbles you are most likely to run across. Block does have a book with actual prices realized at auctions that can be some help. Current prices for many marbles are quite a bit lower than many recent price guides. Online web sites are above and beyond the best way to try and ID marbles. Some good ones for ID are. And as Steph said once you have an ID get over to ebay and search completed auctions for the marble. www.Joemarbles.com www.Marblesgalore.com www.Peltiermarbles.com www.westvirginiamarblecollectorsclub.com www.mikesmarbles.com
  10. They all look like they may be Alley to me. Front center the least likely
  11. Other than Pops this is one of my favorite Veterans
  12. Have you seen packaging from Christensen labeled Blue Moons?
  13. Not so sure Fritzy would think the cupcake was the Birthday treat.
  14. Looks handgathered, bet you would of snatched it up Bill.
  15. Lots of marbles out there just a bit larger than 1/2" . They wish they were peewees. Standard marble classification was (is) in 1/16" so those are 00 which are 9/16" 000 are 1/2" and we go smaller not larger with the peewee size 000 . #6 which are supposed to be 1 inch are usually always a tad smaller, hardly ever larger
  16. Sports food and drinks. Now thats how to have a marble gathering !!!!!!!!!
  17. There needs to be a line drawn when it comes to what "collectors" want a peewee to be. And 1/2" or less is that line. It has been that way for many many years and should remain so. And if you ask the next 100 serious collectors you see what they think, I bet at least 98 agree
  18. Yikes, sounds a lot like listening to the neighbors fight(LOL) But then I listen to Eminem and he is about as angry of a man as there is.
  19. pee wees and some very pee wees
  20. pretty much identical to 1 or 2 pictured earlier
  21. I will be there Thursday!!!
  22. Here you go. And I still want to believe the ones on the right are the CACs, but they are not, I am sure I can not ID all of them correctly. Like the top left on th e left group and bottom right on the right have traits that fit both types.
