I like Mike! (LOL) I was thinking of starting a Show your new Jabo Sammy DAS MAS CAS or whatever marbles and everyone talk as much bad stuff about them that they want. I never get to see in print all the stuff I get to hear at the shows. A lot of folks are still pretty much afraid to say what they do at shows and gatherings for fear of the hate that will get spewed upon them. Something that has never bothered me too much(LOL)
I believe the AAs have a more opaque base and brownish red swirling. The Primas are more translucent and the ribbons more red-pink?. This is exactly the opposite of what I originally believed. But now having half a dozen of the later 2 seam types i can except that I had things backwards. I believe most of the books are also describing Primas when the author is talking about American Agates as they were basically undescribed for quite some time. I have also seen 2 boxes of American Agates that contained 2 seam marbles.
Actually Ric I do not believe so. I think there are as many Prima Agate boxes out there (I even have one) as there are American Agate boxes. And probably many more Prima marbles. I just believe most folks not knowing what they were believe(ed) them to be American Agates. I did so when I got the Prima Box and wondered why American Agates were in it(I bought it believing it contained AAs.
I am very Jealous !! I would be there for hours and hours looking for odd food stuff. Like Bob I do not mind (and actually enjoy) sampling items I have never had before. Just wish I would have tried Sushi way before I finally did. I think it may be the best food on Earth.
That market looks fantastic!!. Nothing around here anything like it!! We have some nearby farmers markets a couple days each week but the selection is usually fairly small and seasonal. https://www.facebook.com/VallejoFarmersMarket. All the grocery store produce is flavorless. Being close to the Central Valley we are lucky enough to have some very large roadside produce stands, a few have gotten to be fairly good sized. This is the best and my favorite. http://www.yelp.com/biz/pedrick-produce-dixon
I believe many Urban Europeans may spend a larger percentage of their budgets on food than we do. When I spent some time in Berlin all the locals shopped almost every afternoon for that nights dinner in the local small corner market. Always a quick stroll from their homes(Apts)
I just had one, not too bad at all. Cooked it on the George Foreman type grill (Which I use a lot, even to make cookies). Now I need to try the shrimp and chicken types that were in boxes next to the Lobster ones.
I asked one time in Canton and was informed they wanted to keep it for the locals and did not really want to go online. Just hoping they were changing the modus operandi
