winnie
Great champion pictures Ron!!It's sure archive worthtly. This one was once IDed as possible Champion, what do you think,is it? It's 11/16 and under UV light it glows.
Steph
Thanks, Ron. Champions make more sense now with the Alleys removed from the mix. A lot of commonality in the pictures you showed. A softness in the swirls. keeperthread
ann
. . . like the nicer Champions. Like the two clear red white and blue you posted. Did those come from a feller in WV ? Yup, a WV feller I believe you know . . . How great to see so many Champions all at one time! Like Steph said, with other makers removed from the mix, it's easier to grasp some Champion commonalities. Some really nice marbles in there! ann
Bugs bitiing flies jiggers ticks mosquitoes . . . Those were the ones I was feeling. As an excavation aside, Ron, have any of the Jolly Green Giants (or pieces of them) ever been found at an Alley site? Is that the reason for their attribution to Alley? Been drivin' me crazy . . . along with the volcano under Yellowstone and other assorted stuff . . . Back to Champions --

wvrons
Winnie I would put your marble with Alleys. Some but not many Champions glow. That color combination is much more common to Alley.
Nantucketdink
These came out of a Penny King bag of Whirlwinds I recently bought and opened up. I don't believe I had any two colored Whirlwinds in my collection previously. This was a pretty darn good little bag of Whirlwinds.
Nantucketdink
There's a sweet metallic swirl on one of these Corals. Surprise metallics always put a smile on my face.
