winnie
Was surprised to find this red/white Amst- swirl,it's my first and only. I found this one a few weeks ago but it looks more orange in hand and it has that funky crystallisation in the red/orange color.
ManofKent
Consensus seems to be Veiligglas:
ManofKent
Codeg - 50's/60's - shown as Foreign made but I think they belong in this thread... Interesting that they're Wire Pulls (well and one clear one) but the box art say's Dazzlers. Seller assured me they're original to the box and I've no reason to doubt them. Steph
I've been familiar with the box for a long time, but the connection with Veiligglas is a relatively new discovery, so it's good to be reminded of it.

I'm fairly confident that a large proportion of the 50's and 60's Solitaire sets with wooden bases are Veiligglas too (relatively common over here). The later Codeg ones with the plastic bases seem to be Asian marbles.
J_Ding
Richard...really nice to get a perspective on the mibs you are finding in the UK. Those Veiligglas are great. John
winnie
Some pastel colored Amsterdam swirls should not be missed.
ManofKent
Very nice Winnie. That purple colour, particularly when used with yellow or green seems very distinctively Veiligglas.
Steph
Now I understand the question you asked yesterday about Shell's soft swirls.
winnie
Manof,The yellow/purple swirls are hard to find here and the purple/green ones are easy to come by,do you find the white-red blue swirls in England? Steph, when I see a marble which I think might be foreign,I prefer to wait out on your reaction because I do not want to complicate it. On the marbles of Shell,I was not sure wether America has made those pastel colored swirls,i only knew that Veiligglas made them, now I know America made them aswell. Steph
More Veiligglas here! http://marbleconnection.com/topic/23375-assorted-marbles-from-europe/ Stéphane posted such a variety of marbles that I thought that glimpse of of a French collection of marbles deserved its own thread. Steph
So you've had yellows and oranges and browns, but not that shade of amber?
winnie
I mean by the opaque marbles,it's the first one I've seen with amber. The wirepull's and transparant swirls do have the amber color.
