JerryG
Newly acquired. Seller IDd it as European Swirl. Having some doubts.
ann
Huh. I like it, but I don't recognize it. Will sit with you and wait for Winnie. Looks kinda like a Michelangelo with not enough colors.
JerryG
Galen seems to think it is Vacor, but Al has a considerable Vacor collection and he's never seen it. Yeah, I was hoping Winnie drops by.
Steph
I'm not seeing Vacor structural traits.
JerryG
I really should re-photograph this. Had my camera on a not-marble setting and am noticing how blurry these are. Maybe later today. If I do, I'll just replace with same names.
ann
It's only the second pic that reminded me of a Michelangelo. The others -- not so much. Doesn't look particularly European, though . . . but I haven't seen nearly as many European ones as I'd like!
JerryG
I have a Michelangelo and remind is about it. Hopefully Winnie passes through in the next few days. At least I'll know if it's European or not. It's a pretty marble and I paid a bit less than $5 including shipping so it's not a big deal either way. Steph
a very pretty marble nice color combination, nice glass
jeeperman
I think it is an American swirl from whom I can not place. More pics might help with a feel, but the combo is not familiar to me. Parts of it feels Alley but I digress
winnie
I don't recognize it as Veiligglas. Somehow it reminds me a little of Vacor,I have a Vacor with that glass but without the yellow color.
JerryG
Well, that's two votes for Vacor. Galen thinks it might be also. I''d love to figure out who made it, but in the end it's not a big deal. Didn't pay much and I like the marble.
Steph
You're still counting me as a vote against, right? I'm strongly resisting the the Vacor idea. FWIW!
Al Oregon
I'm against Vacor, too.
winnie
Here is the Vacor that I mentioned in my previous post, they differ more from each other than I initially thought.
cheese
I'm against Vacor too. In the last pic I get a hint of an Akro vibe where the yellow ribbon ends.
ann
You crazy, cheese!
cheese
Lol, I won't argue that! I stared at it so long, looking for a trait of some kind and you know how the mind does after a while. I have no idea who made it, but who would have put out glass that looks like that? By glass alone, not pattern, I could be convinced it was an akro. lstmmrbls
I am more convinced it is a Vacor every time I look at it?
