Soo lucky to live where I live, still only about 10-15 miles from where I caught this fish on the Columbia.Β  So many things in life are wonderful & you never forget them.

We estimated this one @ around 600^ pounds and almost 9 feet long using the boat as our measuring device, 50lb mono w/ a 6 foot 110 pound test squid line and 10 OT hooks, too bigΒ to get on the boat. WE were fishing in the Columbia river estuary using freshΒ sardine for bait.

Here’s what’s really NUTZ. I tied these back in the early β€˜80’s. I miss the Midwest line up of fish to be caught. Out here it’s a trout and another trout…on and on. Dream fish? Yes! But I miss the bobber daysπŸ”₯

Those are great, Rick. I'd fish with them - they make me wish I would have saved the ones I tied when I was kid.

We use Wooly bugger and Muddler minnow fly'sΒ for trout, & steelhead both, veryΒ effective. No bobber, sinking fly lineΒ or w/ a corky lead to keep it off the bottom a little bit.

I just wanna catch any type of fish I can with my Granddaughter. I super glue my swizzles on and can then change lures when I want to. So in a nutshell. All the knots I use to be able to tie are now replaced by Krazy Glue. Are any of you guys to that point when you go fishingπŸ”₯
