Yeah, still can't believe I got that one and the other one for only $20 apiece! My gal collects vintage miniature tea sets along with shoes and hands and is slowly placing her favorite pieces in hers.
William
She's nowhere near finished with hers either. As seen, she started picking up miniature porcelain and glass animals also, mostly vintage also. Funny how some of my rocks ended up in here!?!? 🤔
Chad G.
I have fallen victim to the smaller & thumbsize + "Royal Doulton" mugs as well. Oh brother, animals as well, it seems my illness has spread to other areas !! I just put this display up a month ago, slowly working my way up the wall. Went from 0 to 90 in a matter of weeks, already mounting another. Help me Spock Help me!!
Chad G.
A few toy cars I like, these are a few of my favorites. I have a bunch of older ones but like these best, most of them are cars remind me of my childhood. Some are older some are almost new, not buying for value just what I like. I have dreams of owning one of these 69 Road Runners or a 69 GTO judge convertible. I had a 69 GTO coupe that I foolishly sold because I didn't trust myself with all that horsepower. Who would have thought they would ever be this hard to get ahold of let alone the price. Most of these were common when I was a kid, those were truly the good old days !! William
Love it. Everyone I would think has had a connection of some kind cars or motorsports during their life. One fond memory of mine was back in the 80's in Florida when I was in my early twenties. My brother in law owned a 69' Malibu, metallic blue/black leather interior. That thing had some horsepower! He took me for a ride one day shortly after he acquired it. Little did I know what I was in for! He took me out to a 5 mile stretch outside Jacksonville called Pritchard road, where alot of the locals would race their rides for cash. Nobody was there that day, he made sure of that. As we sat there idling, he looked at me and said "Ready?" Before I could answer he hit the gas and we were gone! We hit 60mph in just a few seconds then surprise! He quickly flips open a little box and hits a green button. Nitrous! Oh boy did that Malibu turn into a rocket! Rocking back and forth, my body literally stuck to that seat like I was on the Graviton at the fair. I think we hit almost 200mph! Never forget it. I have loved Malibu's ever since 😋 I finally bought one about 6 years ago, a 2008 model fully loaded. Sadly it was rear ended 3 years ago, totaled. I will get another one one day! My other favorite car would be the 68' or 69' Chevelle SS. Thanks for sharing your cars! Thought I would return that share with a memory! 😊

William
Progress on the cabinet 😊 kinda getting things in place...top shelf decided to do a little of everything of the ones I liked. 2nd shelf keeping it in the glassware/agate/fossil category. Such fun, and as expected eyeing another corner display case 😁

I did inquire about it's history; when it was made, who made it, what it represented, etc.; all she could say was that it was her mother in laws. It's definitely got some age. William
My gal Patty's score yesterday...she's been collecting these handmade "villagers" as she calls them for some time. They have been tough to find. Yesterday I couldn't believe it. She scored 8 of them for a total of $33! Her others she paid $30 or more apiece. Check them out... William
They normally get anywhere from 12 too 20 inches here in southeast Minnesota, but people have been known to bring in 24-26 inch beauty's. My biggest one Sunday after I caught that baby was about 13 inches, I don't like keeping anything under 15inches 😊
Chad G.
20 # steelhead I caught about 8 years ago in the glacier fed Deschutes river on 8 pound line & a drift rod.. The steelhead are going all the way to clearwater Idaho we just intercept them on the way, a long & arduous journey another 350 mikes upstream. Steelhead are sea run trout not salmon, harvest trout also go to sea but generally don't get above 4 or 5 pound's & return annually. A Blessing being born here and coming back after the Navy, I love this area and wouldn't move for anything. We average 15 fish a day apiece before noon, with a bag limit if 3, we just keep the ones over 18 pounds. & release the rest. Still waiting for my first this year, they just opened the Columbia mainstem last week for steelhead & Chinook Jack salmon.
