I'llhavethat1
It's a nice marble. Condition really plays important factor to value but still a nice score that some people would dream about finding with a bunch of catseyes

I should add that he's bought several of these, but hasn't ever seen one this size in blue glass (not to say there aren't any others). I agree with your comments, that is a absolute killer-sized example. Big $$$$
Jzoook6
I 100% knowingly overpaid for my marbles today (literally the only person I have found with any marbles for sale at all in my area) Obviously the bagged ones are Marble King-Were there any packages of marble that were a mixture of manufacturers or would any bags like that be recently repackaged? I picked this up a few weeks agoIMG_8341.DNG and it looks like has a few of those junk irridescent clears, 3 UV reactive ones and maybe some WV ones too. (If its a new package I wanna open ) Thanks for looking! 1

Hi looks like a nice bunch of mibs 👍I can’t tell if that’s a pelt Superman in one of the plastic containers 🤔and the top left in the container looks like I might be something cool The Arcade bag looks interesting I have wondered myself if I’ve over paid for some of my marbles ,but being stuck in Tim buck too 🇨🇦 🌲it would cost me thousands to get to a show to get marble show prices 😎

I paid $40 for my haul (cringe), but I figure like $20 was for "the experience" alone. Especially considering how few marbles are for sale out there at the moment, I could have probably been talked into paying more than $40 🤣 I don't want to get my hopes up on the Superman, but it is a nice looking marble regardless. There is a red and yellow guy in there that I'm also kinda jazzed about.

From one of the alley agate books I have. The swan I’m not 100 percent on, perhaps Ron can shed some light if it’s alley as I know he has a bunch of the alley figurines.
marblenewbie
Scored some slag glass today along with some marbles. Some of the ones in the box I already had and got mixed in. The last pic I couldn't refuse him. 4

Top three marbles on the right are the best, bottom one is an alley bacon possibly; would have to see more angles, then 2nd from top is a nice 1930s vitro and top is a pretty good Akro cork. There’s also a few other alleys in there, some super common MKs and about in the middle appears to be a pelt rainbo.

It’s just missing 2 pieces, but I can probably find those on eBay or something. Finding these in the wild is pretty impossible nowadays, this is the first set I’ve ever found just driving around. Look what I saw today!!!!! Not the same exact set but cool to know they are out there!!!

PittsburghMarbles
Found a sweet jar of marbles this weekend, not really a score as they wanted 99 bucks for it. But it has a mint pelt Cub Scout in it so it was worth it and a few other nice mibs, along with a mint alley metallic, some nice masters and some nice vitros etc. Nearly every marble in the jar though was pretty beat up. I don’t usually spend that much on a jar as I’m always looking for deals but have hit a drought of good mib finds in the past few weeeks so whatever. When I told the lady I’d like to look In the jar before buying it she took it and violently dumped the marbles out. I was like you should be more careful as they can get nicked easily. Always pisses me off at antique stores how poor they treat marbles while slamming them into jars and pouring them out. You wouldn’t slam around a glass vase or any other piece of vintage or antique glassware. I always tell people that marbles are like any other vintage or antique glass and that they can get damaged easily and then are worth nothing to collectors. 2
PittsburghMarbles
Also, found this today… along with marbles I also collect Hobbs and Brockunier glass out of Wheeling, WV. This piece was 40 bucks at a garage sale. It’s a Hobbs, Brockunier from 1887. In the guide it states too rare to value. The only other Neapolitan Hobbs and Brockunier nut bowl I’ve seen has been on display at the Oglebay Glass Museum near Wheeling which has the best collection of Wheeling glassware in the country. Grover Cleveland purportedly had this Neapolitan ware in his collection as he supposedly was a big collector of Hobbs, Brockunier and Co. Wonder if this piece was in his collection…. He did have Neapolitan Hobbs in his collection. Almost passed out when I found it. 1 1
Jzoook6
Wow great finds, @PittsburghMarbles ! I wonder if that beautiful ruffle was what inspired Fenton's Crest pieces. Love its little scroll feets. My weekend finds were not nearly as exciting-- i found a $3 mini plastic trashcan mystery buy at the GoodWill. Luckily, I had done a surprisingly good job not getting my hopes up. See photos for contents! Also included were 2 Imperial booklets from 1994. I think obviously a lot of the marbles are Imperial, but definitely some Vacor as well? I see a possible Picasso, Spaghetti, Van Gogh, Neptune, and Owl.
browncat73
Hi All, Had a pretty exciting score today from an estate sale that was just about to end. I got about fifty Mibs for $16 bucks and these three jumped out immediately. I'm not 100 percent on what the first two are but, hoping you fine folk could assist. I'll have some better pics and I'm sure more mibs to show once I go through them all. 3
