schmoozer
I have found my new favorite! Made by Nebo, it is rechargeable using a USB power cord. It can also use 2 AAA batteries in a pinch, but at lower lumens. 2 lighting levels. 500 lumens, on high-mode, on the rechargeable battery. 140 in low-mode. magnetic base to attach to metal, allowing hands free when needed. it also has a neat option to be an area light by pulling up the lens. The picture is on low-mode, high-mode hurts your eyes if you look directly at it. I paid $65, with the holster. The holster has a metal base, securing it. I bought it for work, but it works great in low-mode when prowling antique stores with crammed, dark display cases.
Alan
Surefire Aviator with the Aviatrix mod. If I just want a very small one - either an ARC AAA or Fenix P1. The key is to find a light whose reflector doesn't throw rings or other artifacts in the beam. Those artifacts just cast a confused beam.
akroorka
This one is hard to beat. I just ordered two more. You can set a 5/8" marble on it and really get what needs to be seen. https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Rechargeable-Flashlight-Water-Resistant-Included/dp/B072K27MCK/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3TPAQSBIGJE49&keywords=Anker+Rechargeable+Bolder+P2+LED&qid=1664227185&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIwLjAwIiwicXNhIjoiMC4wMCIsInFzcCI6IjAuMDAifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=anker+rechargeable+bolder+p2+led+%2Caps%2C106&sr=8-1 Marble--On!! Chad G.
I also use an Anker Art, said battery would last for 5 years I've had it almost 7 and still going strong, after recharging of course. https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Rechargeable-Flashlight-Resistant-Emergency/dp/B072171VHQ/ref=dp_fod_2?pd_rd_i=B072171VHQ&psc=1
Chad G.
The USB cord that charges it has paid for itself many times over vs. buying out of this world batterie$, one of my accidental "good decisions"
wvrons
I have several 600 to 800 lumens. Coast and Lenser brands. All are from five to ten years old. I have one Coast rechargeable HX5R, on charge now. I like the light but it doesn't hold enough charge for me. At any show it goes dead without any warning at all after about four hours. It has never lasted one full day while at a show. But I identify a lot of marbles at shows. But on three triple A's, I can do three full days at a show and have some power left. All depends on what you want to spend, what size you want and how much you use it. At shows I will always have a couple different lights in my pockets. I will take five or six to each show. Plus usually a couple different size black lights.

I like it. Took it around this weekend. Instructions were worded oddly but was pretty intuitive to figure out how to charge.

One worked right out of the box--the other needed charging. This is a first for me--a battery with a charging outlet in the battery---cool beans! They both work quite well. Thanks Steph!

schmoozer
We also bought 30 keychain UV lights to sell at shows. About $1.30 each, sell for $3.

Thought it was a common clearie. No idea on the maker. need to keep looking. 1

Steph
You might have two colors of glass in there. Some of my clearies had that glow in parts and turned out to have both red glass and yellow.
ann
I`ll have to check - been awhile since I`ve looked at them - but Art Jones put together a few fantasy boxes of some weird yellow Pelts called Smileys, and when I first hit them with UV they had this same "film" of orange, with seams. Don`t know the reason - seems excessive to think they were coated somehow (doesn`t copper glow orange under UV? Can`t remember offhand). Very strange.
