There may already be a music thread, I didn't see one; if so delete this I guess.

Anyways, share you favorite music here.

Here's some of my favorite tracks. I am an audiophile, some of these tracks are best listened to with good headphones and or sound systems. It seems on this forum the best way to share music is just copying and pasting the youtube url link. On most forums you have to type the html code but apparently that doesn't work on here.

Hello Chris,

You can copy the link from YouTube and post just the link it like this. While posting it'll ask you to display as link instead on the bottom of the post before submission. Click on that to save us some space instead of imbedding the video. I'll post a few since I'm here  :) I added the header so people will know what they're listening to before they click on it. I listen to a wide variety, from the early 60's up till the early 2000's Easy listening, Rock to Grunge, maybe a little Country every once in awhile & even some Gospel. Good idea BTW

@Chad G. you have excellent taste in music.

I have so many favorites.  Where do I begin.  I honestly can't narrow it down to favorite songs, but I can tell you my favorite artists.  I like a very wide variety obviously from country to indie to alternative.

Regina Spektor

Jewel (loved her since the 90s)

Leonard Cohen

Dwight Yoakam

The Cranberries/Delores O'Riordan

Fun/Nate Ruess (underrated musical genius IMO)

Billy Joel

Elle King

Lisa Loeb

Ingrid Michaelson

Mumford & Sons

Soul Asylum

Sia

Hank Williams Sr.

Mazzy Star

Ani DiFranco

Counting Crows

Tori Amos

This is one of my favorite songs at the moment by Canadian band, July Talk:

Great thread!

The first album that I ever purchased was The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour. The second was The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Are You Experienced.

We used to go as a group back in the day to the “Great Northern Bluegrass Festival”. I am not a big Country music fan but good “Fiddle” and “Banjo” Music always hits me hard.

 Johnny Cash? Who can resist?

I remember my first Led Zeppelin experience quite well. Probably eight grade. A friend of mine had an old stable in the back yard that his folks let him have gatherings together in the loft. Walking up the smoke filled steps, hearing the music cranked, my first question was who is this playing! I have been a huge fan ever since.

I listened to the Who, Steely Dan(the greatest hits album is killer), Steppenwolf, Jethro Tull (saw them three times in concert) Pink Floyd (“Run Like Hell” is a great Track—great lyrics too). The Talking Heads( “Stay up Late” is a great track) The Rolling Stones—nuff said( my wife saw them in concert) AC-DC, The list goes on. Who can forget “Foghat”? The Kaiser Chiefs, David Bowie, Queen, The Doors, Pearl Jam, ZZ Top, Nirvana(the best “unplugged” album ever)

I have Alexa play Beatles music while I cook, I like it all.

Here are a few that I listen to often. The “Live at Pompeii” Album is a great one. One is a tribute to my Great Grandson, it just fits right in. Read the lyrics as you listen imho. I like live music, few can pull it off. The last one plays in my mind way too often these days. My Wife hates them—my Mini Cooper loves them—so do I and when I am alone I might just take a few more turns than necessary:confused-smileys-327:.
