Is this a guinea at 15/16ths" ? Is it a modern reproduction or a real CAC? The Green/white is 1" *no idea), and the '9 & tail' id also 15/16ths ". I'm crossing my fingers but need cooler heads to advise. Thanks and best wishes

Irrelevant but that last oxblood CAC is awsome despite the damage.

New here so take my opinions lightly. Last one what I would believe to be Christensen Agate 9. I may be wrong but would love to have it.

I truly wish that it was oxblood, but unfortunately it is dark purple brown. It also has some bubble 'pops' in it but not mush wear aside from that. I was hoping the same thing about being a CAC. I am glad that it is mine though....(dragon hoarding thoughts)....

Can you share some pics on a classic CAC guinea please??

You're in luck. However, at your current collector skill level this photo, over 20 years with lower pixel graphics is not good enough anymore to visualize) and comprehend) what details it has to know exactly why it's a 'Classic example. However, compared to that thing you've got, it's better than nothing, on the fly.

I need to take better photos of this. I mean, even though I know what and why, I wouldn't buy it or any like it with this illustration.

It is a dead wet  Mint single seam (facing you at bottom left) Blue base 'Classic.

Pontil on first means not CAC Guinea, most likely Bulgarian.  Middle looks like machine made Alley.  Last is most likely Bulgarian.  If Pontil is faceted it would be German (Greiner). Melted would make it Navarre (or other US Leighton).  It it's a rough pontil that looks like it was ground on the sidewalk, Bulgarian.

I've not seen a Japanese transitional that's 15/16" - do they get that big?

Great resource on guineas Ric! I wish that I had seen it earlier. I recognized them as guineas and wanted to add them to my pile so I purchased them-they weren't expensive so I lucked out.

Boris, I love Japan! I have been there many times so if these are from Japan then I am very glad to have them! Cool! Do I have a creased pontil??

I'd like to see a close-up view focused on the pontil.

These are examples of creased "pontils" you'd expect to see on Yasuda transitionals . . .

FWIW, I'm not thinking yours is Yasuda.
