Yes, The definition between the colors which are melding would be sharper with a Pelt. The red has a blackish overtone which no doubt can be found in a Pelt—just more defined in a Pelt--- more common in a Vacor. I have to admit though—if I found it in a low light situation—like in an antique mall—I would be hard pressed without a flashlight to pass on it.
