Thanks for the ID on the NLR! It was bugging me, yes on the Orca. Ric is right, there are 2 Vacors… the big blue bomber was hiding in the middle of a jar, didn’t see it. Same for the mica, which almost covers the cost of 2 jars. -

Saturday finds. 3 jars 1 is mostly Vitro cats, 1 is 4-color horseshoe. the purple slag looked ugly until I backlit it. “Heliotrope”! the Navarre is just over 1/2”, smallest I’ve found. the Mica is around 13/16”, mint celery green. can you spot the Vacor? also picked up some Blenko and depression glassware. We joined a local glass club, doing our first show on 2/25. Should be interesting. -
Can you add some tequila to it? HAPPY FRIDAY🥂

True that! I think taking a short video showing how light reflects on the facets, or rolling it to show wobbles might be a good way to show the facets? Stills don’t show much unless it is a large facet.

WV glass - Any Blenko collectors out there?
schmoozer replied to schmoozer's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
We have many with the foil hand label, 1932 to 82. The 2nd label style covers 82 to 2002. Then started sandblasting “Blenko/date”. This was because they were bringing back older designs and did it want them misrepresented. the hand-signed were mostly 58 to 61. some also have the original sales sticker from the Visitors Center. http://blenkocollectors.com/blenkocollmarks.htm -
WV glass - Any Blenko collectors out there?

The minis are tough, many firms made them. The green coil is Blenko. The last crystal beaker looks like it may have a ground pontil, which Blenko rarely if ever did, so thinking not Blenko. water residue is a killer for value and display, try to only collect clean pieces. here is my go to reference site. https://blenko.com/pages/blenko-catalogs it takes time and research, they have over 2,000 designs spanning almost 100 years. -

Not a cheap addiction, takes a lot of room(s) -
Having an addiction is not always a bad thing…🤔 it keeps us out of the bars and casinos.

Have you ever gotten up at 2AM to check your collection???🥴 I had no idea of the rarity of this variety.

Down to 16-degrees, luckily no precipitation today.

We are sitting here with 4” of snow and 25-degrees in western WA. The lowlands are iced in, very little traffic. Too cold and windy to even get in the hot tub…

There was that 50 box on eBay with a row of blue galaxies that sold for $10K…

I typically see how they roll, if they wobble around, they are HF, if they roll smoothly they are machine-ground.

I’ve been looking for a CAC cyclone… and a >3/4” sparkler .

A Holiday shout out to our big brother Chad

Chad, you are greatly appreciated by all here! Your patience is a rare thing🙃 -
Took about 14 years to get the owner to let this globe light go. It was in a local Snohomish antique store. Got it installed yesterday by 2 awesome electricians. we have never found another example online. The cash register is from the wife’s family business, originally came from Dayton, Wa dated 1913.

Thinking vitro🤔 I’ve got some similar examples
