  1. Very cool, Rick. How is it I remember these and I couldn't tell you what I had for lunch yesterday? A one track mind, apparently. lol
  2. It might be interesting to see what this one looks like after a bath . . .
  3. Based on the recent photos, I think you're probably right.
  4. You better set it where it's going to stay for a long while or you're going to need a dolly!
  5. @hdesousa Yes, mostly transparent Veiligglas and English Whisplers and the others Chad mentioned. There might be a couple of creased "pontil" transitionals in there too.
  6. Yup, a nice selection of Veiligglas from Amerstam. The opaque ones are harder to find than the transparent ones. The only one I question is the red/white and ivory one right of center.
  7. Nice video. I do like variegated clays and Spotted Dicks are interesting too but I'm honing in on what appears to be the brown salt glazed one top center - it's a nice looking example.

    They look Master to me.

It's crazy unusual, at least to me, Joe. Now I'm wondering about Marble King possibilities.
  10. Oh brother, I hope it was a typo. I thought the Mellons were bankers. lol
  11. Great pattern on the purple slag, Dave!
  12. Nice ones, Tommy. Is this one peach colored - I know it's a tough color to capture.
  13. Very nice photos, as usual, Gladys - nice looking marbles and amethyst too!
  14. @Melissa Although you should know that Melon Balls are actually old German handmade marbles with pontils. Here are some Bumblebee posted several years ago . . .
  15. It's original - that double folded seam on the bag is usually a pretty good indicator.

My first impression is Akro or Vitro but it would be helpful to see straight-on shots of both seams and some of whats going on in the interior, if anything.
  17. I don't know of any marble collecting pamphlets geared toward children but House of Marbles sells an inexpensive pamphlet that includes a little info but is mostly about playing. I used to give it and some marbles to Cubscouts when I did presentations and taught them how to play so they could earn their marbles belt loop. Unfortunately, the loop is no longer awarded.
  18. It looks like there is a little bit of everything - most vintage as far as I can tell, but the photo is very small and the resolution too low to get a very good look at them.
  19. That's a beautiful figure and an awesome agate, did she come carrying it?
