  1. I just posted a sextuple ingot Pelt in the weird thread . . .
  2. I don't think the number of "ingots" correlates with a particular manufacturer.
  3. It's about the right size for a double ingot of 2 x 5/8" marbles, and it looks like it could be too.
  4. These are a newer style Vitro All Red, from the 1960s, if I recall correctly.
  5. Here's another weird one - a Peltier sextuple ingot Rainbo. It's 1 1/8" and near perfectly round without that little nub you can see in pic 2. I gave it to Bill years ago - he really likes the weird stuff too.

    Akro Opal...

I'll bet William is thinking of a "Fire Opal", better known as a Flintie, although I don't think this is one.
  7. Very cool bag, Al - new to me, and definitely weird.
  8. Yup, Akro Moss Agate.
  9. Vitro - a Tri Lite as far as I can tell.
  10. Not all Alleys are super busy or even busy at all, I am looking mostly at the color and some pattern traits - the way the orange goes pinkish in some spots, e.g.
  11. I'm thinking Alley.
  12. It's weird, Art - that's all I got. And Happy New Year to you too!
  13. At first, I was going to post a pic of myself, but then I realized Art wanted to see weird marbles. I think this Chalky Vitro Conqueror is pretty weird
  14. Like Art said, it's a Contract Run JABO - not sure which run though. I think most of those marbles were 3/4" like yours, but there were some 5/8" - mostly tank washes, I think.
  15. Here's a pic - not a great one, but it was handy. 🙂 And there is a variant referred to as a "Dark Inky" too.
  16. There is no question it's a Champion marble . . .
  17. Learning before spending is definitely the wise thing to do. Typical Conquerors are likely the most common vintage Vitro marble - they mad oodles of them. I like the ones that get wild with the shape of the patch and the distribution of the white color - they can get really cool looking.
  18. You got the ID right as far as I can tell and the stand is very nice too!
  19. Thanks again, Al. One notable difference between the bag I posted and the ones you show is the crown logo on mine (I don't doubt you have a similar bag too). I guess we'll have to wait for Gerald's book to learn more about when that logo first appeared.
  20. I poked around a bit and found these. They're the closest thing I have seen . . . I think the pic will link to the site.
  21. Welcome to the Marble Connection, you came to the right place. This looks like a common game marble - a "purie" or "clearie" that has a bit of UV-reactive glass mixed in. Marbles like this were made by the boxcar load and almost every manufacturer made them, and without any significant identifying features, which I don't see here, it is pretty much impossible to tell one manufacturer from another.
  22. Another good snag, Joep. Happy New Year!
