    .58 Akro?

Ron has one that has fooled many an Akro collector, and it's a killer!
  2. That's the other possibility. If I could see the colors a little better I might agree.

    .58 Akro?

Sorta looks like this one gave it a whirl.
  4. Alley or Champion would be my guess, leaning slightly Alley.

    .58 Akro?

One of not too many named Classics. I think Dave himself named this one.

    .58 Akro?

My first thought is a JABO Sweet Potato Pie or variant, but I am not entirely sure.
  7. It looks a bit more like a swirl than a slag to me but beyond that I think this one will be very tough to ID with any degree of certainty.
  8. Reflections make it pretty hard to see but I am thinking Champion.
  9. The best part is that I was lucky enough to dig these up myself!
  10. Given that most people in 1912 were probably making 35-40 cents an hour, those were some mighty fine marbles, for sure.

Maybe it's not new at all, I was not aware there was a similar marble apparently made much earlier. Thanks for the info, Steph!
  12. The lamp was an unbelievably kind gift from Joep, and it fits in on my dresser like it was made to order . . . I could not be happier. Also included in the package were the bullet mold marbles you see and a whole bunch of really great examples of Vacor marbles - an awesome retirement gift. Thank you so much Joep!
  13. Nice mibs, William. It would be nice to see a few more shots of this ^ one. That blue/green swirl is really nice, Dave!

    Let's go with "Blue Boy".
  15. Correction, I think it's a "Golden Boy". Sorry Darryl, I'm really bad with names.
