These are beautiful contemporary transitional types, for sure - Really outstanding craftsmanship, and first produced in the early-mid 1990s, I think.

Good deal, now I get what you're talking about. I'd be a little careful using that as a Vitro specific trait - it happens on Akro too. But if the seams on each side of the marble are perpendicular to one another, that trait is far more common on Vitros.

I sort of get a Vitro vibe too but I am not sure how it would be classified- maybe just a patch . . . or an oddball.

Are you sure all of these pics are all the same marble? In some, the base looks blue and in others it looks green- I'm confused.

Just wondering, when you say "90 degree angle", do you mean that one seam is offset by 90 degrees relative to the other, like -- and |?

It doesn't immediately strike me as Alley, or Ravenswood, and based on the color/pattern I am wondering if Heaton might be a possibility.

I think Marbelized is referring to the OP, in which case, it looks a bit Vitro but I would want to see a few more pics.

I agree with Roberto, Although, I don't recognize the colors on the last one as Vitro so am thinking it may be foreign too.

It's a little hard to discern the base glass from your photo and it is not a Kokomo that I recognize as obvious from personal experience so I would be hesitant to call it one.

I also like the ones Pete Caparelli had made much more recently for Land of Marbles, which is no longer active since Pete retired. I got a bunch and gave them away to the children of friends. Although, I have no clear idea about how marbles like this are produced.

I do, my understanding is that many were given to Samsonite salesmen as some sort of a token of appreciation or a reminder to be kind while on duty . . . or something.
