  1. Hi Art, what size is the Lady and is the base UV reactive?
  2. Yeah, the typical ones are pretty ho hum but I keep the ones that swirl or have crazy patterns just for fun. I've even found a couple where the body veneer is colored and the patch is white - reverse Conquerors. LOL
  3. I think some game marbles even got to 7/8" - I think Vitro made some that large.
  4. I have never heard the term "the big four". Could you please clarify?

    CAC?

No CAC. It's helpful if you keep the marbles in the same order when you photograph them to make it easier for people who are trying to help you, and take multiple views of each marble showing any seams or other interesting features. All but the orange with yellow one (need more views) look like West Virginia Swirls, which were made by several WV companies and can be a challenge to identify, especially the transparent ones. Most of the opaque WV Swirls you're showing look like Alley Agates, but there may be a Ravenswood in the group.
  6. Opaque one color solid marbles are called "game marbles" and they have little, if any, collectible value since it is usually not possible to determine a maker - all companies made them by the millions, although some can have interesting patterns that might suggest a maker, they still have little to no collectible value. The tansparent ones are called "clearies" or "purees" and similarly have little to no collectible value, although they can be used for decorative purposes. In addition "true black" color was only made by CAC, Peltier, and Akro. The vast majority of "black" marbles are actually dark purple, brown, or green.

    Vitro?

Looks foreign to me - maybe a Wales?

    Oxblood?

    I think Alley is likely.
  9. Probably an Alley Swirl

    C.A.C . Alley?

Looks like a roll mark to me.
  11. I should have quoted, Rick - I was agreeing with his assessment!
  12. OOgly is a good kind of ugly, Gladys - funky, like Art said. I doubt even Art would call that one pretty!
