Yes, it is interesting - colors are kinda nice too, IMO. It seems they were making clay marbles long after clay marble production here ended.

A new one for my Sunday Best. I found it in one of Bill's Pelt cases and I had to do some pretty smooth talking before he would let me replace it with a Pelt - an Antifreeze no less! And I still feel lucky - it's probably the first marble he's let go of in decades!

It's a great marble, blue and orange is a great color combination. I'd probably have it with my Vitros.

I think the easiest way to explain what I meant is to say this . . . make an "X" with your index fingers and imagine each finger is a seam on opposite sides of the marble.

I'm pretty fond of old hand-colored engravings like this one: A Marble Mill on The Untersberg (circa 1870). It will be framed soon.
