There is an "Upcoming Marble Show" thread in the main forum that usually gets updated with show info. Bob Block also keeps a pretty good list here: https://www.marblecollecting.com/marble-community/marble-show-calendar/ Where about are you? I might be able to recommend a show or help you find other collectors in your area. Otherwise, just post a "help wanted" topic in the main forum and see what sort of responses you get. Good Luck!

I think Champion is a good call for both of these - size, colors, pattern and ribbon cut-offs can all be clues. If you really want to learn to ID swirls, the easiest way is to get to a show where someone with some knowledge can point out different types of traits to you. There are many WV swirl companies and variables so it's pretty tough subject to teach or learn online. Having said that, pay attention to those traits I listed when you are looking at identified swirls, with some effort, you can probably pick up quite a bit by studying on your own.

No, Champion made some.

All I know is it's a peewee and . . . it's a JABO! I'm sure @wvrons or @Nantucketdink could tell us more. -

Can you believe kids probably paid a nickel or a dime for that bag - check for AV in those green ones?

And whatever color these are . . . A Vitro and a Marble King that I probably should have cleaned first . . .

I'm thinking Champion.

Nice Rainbo, Dave - a less common color scheme, at least in my experience.

That's a nice marble! And the crystal ornaments are great too.

Nice! Bigger ones are almost always less common than smaller ones. I'm not sure if 7/8" would be considered HTF but they're definitely much less common than 5/8".

It looks like a big bubble might have had a thin flake of glass covering it. When the glass "cover" broke away, likely during early production, it left the "sharp" edges around the rim. If it popped when the glass was still hot the divot would have a smooth melted rim, IMO.

I noticed that orange peel texture in the first pics. It's often associated with Vacor. But you also see it on some big old Akros, like Claudias and Jolly Rogers, where it adds an interesting dimension to the marble. It's usually considered a flaw that is associated with poorly made marbles (the big Akros are all dug, as far as I know, and the surface texture may be why they were discarded, but I actually like the effect on those marbles).

Vitros this size are very uncommon, so I am going to go with Akro for these.

They're pretty cool looking - foreign, I think, but not sure where they come from.

It's pretty on the transparent blue base and the pattern is cool. It'd be interesting to know how they make these patterns, which are fairly common on newer Chinese marbles.
