    ID Inky?

    or something, maybe . . . ?

    ID Inky?

Win? Was I competing somehow? I don't really get it.
  3. Do you know if that is true for each variant? I've only seen 9/16" like the ones I posted and I've only seen 5/8" like the ones you posted. I have not seen any at 11/16".
  4. Thanks, Ron. There are two marbles there. Pretty sure I bought every one I had a chance at. The second one you posted is probably the nicest I have ever seen - four colors on a Ravenswood -wow! The two I posted are both 9/16" - I'm betting yours are 5/8"?

    ID Inky?

I'd say it's an Inky - the base is just a little less yellow than most, perhaps.
  6. Great pic Mibber. The marbles ain't half-bad either - nice ones!
  7. It's a Ravenswood swirl, Tommy. The transparent blue is the key - some of the nicest ever made, IMO, and pretty hard to forget if you've seen it in hand. The trans blue on some CAC's is pretty similar though.

    Bless you

Painting rocks and leaving them for others to find is a popular pastime around here - kids especially enjoy it. The idea is that if you find one, you should enjoy it and re-hide it (not too well) so someone else can find it and enjoy it too. If you want to keep it, you're supposed to replace it with one of your own making. They are often inscribed with the location of origin followed by the word "Rocks" and the date. I've actually found some really awesome ones when I'm walking the dog but I always re-hide them since I don't paint any of my own to replace them with. Lots of kids will take pictures of them before they re-hide them and have a sort of competition to see who can find the most when they're out at a park or something. I've found rocks from several different states (and years) at the park I frequent, which has a campground associated with it.

    rainbo?

Nice Al, thanks a lot - any idea how the dark-based ones became known as Champion Jrs, or am I off base?

    What is this ?

The first and second look a little like American mibs, but I think they're not too. The last looks like a colored clay marble with color left only in the low spots.

    Vitro name?

This thread got a little confusing . . . to be sure, the OP is a Vitro Tri-Lite.

    Any thoughts?

I'm leaning Master, even though they didn't make that many big ones - reminds me of a Paul Bunyan style.

    Any thoughts?

    At 3/4", I'm thinking JABO.

    rainbo?

Honestly, I think it's the size of the bag they came in - I'd consider the yellow/white Champions too, don't you?
  15. Yeah, I'm not seeing cross-throughs either. So what about a Green Sunset - ever seen one?

    rainbo?

I also think it is a multicolor Rainbo (MCR, as Chad puts it). Multicolor Swirls (MCSs) usually have three colors in addition to the base but they don't always swirl - some have straight seams. As for NLR or Rainbo, I'd call it a tweener - older than the vast majority of Rainbos and younger than the vast majority of NLRs. Champion Jrs. have four ribbons so I don't think it is one of those.
  17. I am not sure if I would call those Sunsets or not - the colors are right, for sure, but I think Sunsets have four ribbons and lots of bubbles in the clear base. I have never seen a green sunset - do you know what they are or have any to show - I'd love to see one.
  18. I thought it looked like a pretty weird Vitro .. . maybe because it's foreign?
  19. Thanks a lot, Tommy, it sounds like a fun game!

    Heaton?

How big is the yellow-based one in the first pic? As for the second pic, the one in the back looks like a better possibility for Heaton than the front one, which I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of more pics of.
